Yoko
"Who knew you were as foolish as you were back when we were kids." She sneered. I pinned her arms down frustrated.
"Why, after all this time are you still chasing ghosts? This is old Mariko!" I yelled.
She fought under my grip with rage.
"Like hell if you knew anything about me!"
"You never gave me the chance!" I exclaimed. She hissed knocking me to the side and grabbing her phone.
"Akutagawa's not the only one who put a bomb on this tin can. I had a feeling you'd show up."
I scanned my surroundings not seeing anything out of place.
"Joshinki." She muttered. Suddenly everything around me became black. I was shrouded in darkness, blinded once again.
"It's a shame Mariko, I've grown up being blind. I've adapted to conditions like these!"
There was an explosion towards the front of the train causing us both to lose our balance. The movement let me see where she was, and I took the opening slamming her body into the side of the train car.
She groaned pushing me off.
"You can't increase your speed in here, there's nowhere to run." I uttered. She cursed under her breath sliding the train door behind her open.
"Maybe not, but the world's my playground Yoko."
She lunged for me pushing the both of us out of the train plummeting toward the water. The darkness slipped from my vision allowing me to see once again.
Joshinki isn't bound to a person, but to a location. Once the target leaves the radius, they regain their senses.
"Kieru." High speeds such as these allow the illusion of running on water, at least enough to bring myself back to the shore.
"Tell me Yoko, why you try so hard to live. You're a monster. You've murdered countless people. What makes you tick?!"
I kicked Mariko in the side sending her crashing into the ground.
"Unlike you, I have a reason to live now. Monster or not. That reason's name is Akutagawa Ryunosuke!"
