So many years ago, we would've called eachother friends. Natsuo and I had held something dear to us. A similarity.
Both of us were born disabled. I was unable to see, Natsuo was unable to walk.
She was born paralyzed from the waist down. We learned to adapt, both our abilities helping us overcome our struggles. Natsuo's ability allowed her to walk in a copy of herself, and I could hear for sight.
We were satisfied at the time.
But as I look at her now I see nothing but hatred burning inside of her.
"Natsuo, I dare you to pull the trigger." I growled. She looked at me with an expression of shock and disbelief.
"Y-You think I won't?!"
I felt Akutagawa glaring at me, pleading with me to stop toying with her.
"Natsuo, you're already dead." I uttered closing my eyes. The stench of metallic blood, the feeling if a soul slipping from its body miles away.
Natsuo glanced down at her torso, blood sliding down her body.
"How did you..."
"My dear friend Higuchi. I gave her the location of your original being. I had her kill you for me."
Natsuo's hand dropped the pistol before gripping her side in pain.
"You think it's this simple. You're wrong. I have thousands of men working under me! This will never end!" She cried.
"It's all over." A voice sighed. Ougai placed a hand on my head in approval. I looked up at him in time to see his expression... fear.
He pushed me away a alight smile on his face.
"We're all broken." He muttered.
"Rashoumon!" Akutagawa yelled. His ability stoped the hoardes of bullets flying towards them. A row of men lined behind Natsuo with large rifles.
I stumbled to catch my balance but found myself back in that familiar situation again.
Below me the cold allure of the sea beckoned.
At last... I can use this...
