Yoko
He left not long after Higuchi did. Both with determined expressions but doubts in their minds.
The Man-Eating Tiger.
There's a wholesome bounty on the creature's head. I wondered what was so special about them.
But I did not question their motives. I was taught not to at a young age. So me slipping from the warehouse and into the city wasn't an act of defiance, but more along the lines of cutiosity.
The sky was dull, I couldn't feel the graces of the sun's heat against me. Just the humidity and monotone sensation.
The air feels heavy when it's about to rain. Though the impact I was feeling was not that of nature, but of something much darker.
Rashoumon.
I could feel it's hunger from where I stood. Though I could also feel a familiar presence, standing mere inches in front of me.
"It's good to see you again Yo-chan." He cooed. My fists, clenched so tight, began to bleed.
"Why are you here?" I asked. Sirens blared in the distance, the wind howling it's war cry.
"Probably the same reason you are. My colleagues are in a bit of a predicament you see, so I can't chat for long."
I grabbed his coat in anger.
"Why did you leave Dazai?!"
I felt his hand land on my wrist making me release my grip from him.
"I decided to become a champion of justice. Just like we said when we were kids Yoko." He muttered. I pushed his hand away from mine in a fit of rage and stormed off.
The air was heavy, so much that it grew harder to breathe the further I pressed on. Rashoumon was on a rampage. I could feel Higuchi's trembling hands.
And I was drowning in the ache of my heart.
The air always grows heavy before it rains. Today, it was going to pour.
