"Say don't ya think it's a bit boring around here nowadays?" Chuuya sighed leaning back in a chair. I rolled my eyes and continued reading.
It had been quite some time since Yoko was cast out. Though, it's not as if she hasn't made her presence known to Ougai. My favorite had to be the random Port Mafia execution, of a Mori Ougai lookalike dummy down by the river. She got quite the reaction from him as well.
Just because she isn't in the organization, doesn't mean she's gone. We run into her from time to time. Most often she's working similar missions to ours. I appreciate seeing her however short and infrequent it is.
"We should go find Yoko." He suggested more straightforwardly. I shut my book loud enough to catch his attention.
"We will do no such thing." I growled. Sure, I loved seeing her, but I wasn't one to pick a fight with the upper brass. Even when she was banished from the mafia, I didn't do anything to stop it. I let Yoko Tawada walk right out of the compound never to come back.
But now, with the drama involving the guild in the past, there's talk of a new enemy. One man to be specific, one we had a run in with a whole six years ago.
It started with a massacre.
But it ended in a dense cloud of fog.
