Akutagawa

It feels like everytime I see her lately she's with Nakahara or sneaking off to see Osamu.

Frustration. Anger. Defeat.

It all rages through me. All we've been doing lately is fighting. I hated it. I just wanted to go back to when it wasn't so painful.

"Akutagawa... you should probably get Yoko Tawada before you come see this." Higuchi uttered with disbelief.

Instead I walked up to the screen she was looking at and it was like something inside of me broke.

There was two security monitors up. One of Yoko's office, and another showing the outside perimeter of the docks.

On each camera... Yoko was there.

"People can't be in two places at once right?" She asked.

Suddenly an article had popped up on the screen as well.

It was two bounties. One for the weretiger, and the other for Yoko. The Guild was making their first move before they even arrived.

"That camera footage! Is it live?!" Chuuya yelled racing towards us.

"Why? Where's Yoko?" I asked. Fear shone in his eyes one more vibrant than the night she was shot.

"She said you asked for her. I thought she was with you!"

Panic soon rushed within the three of us.

"The footage seems to be on a loop. Someone hacked into our system to buy themself time. Enough time to possible kidnap Yoko Tawada." A voice stated from behind us.

"Boss. I didn't think you'd ever come here in person." Chuuya muttered. Mori Ougai stood there staring at the screen.

"This Tawada is causing us a lot of trouble again. Ryunosuke, this is now your responsibility."

I nodded glancing back at the cameras. It was probably taken right before they took her.

She looks as if she was heartbroken. That letter.

"Bring Yoko Tawada home."

"Yes Boss." I muttered storming out of the building. I had no leads, no ideas, nothing.

But something burned deep inside if me. Telling me that no matter how much we fought recently, I would not let my last memory of her be one of regret.

Because the the thought of that frightened me.
