Akutagawa

I held her tightly that night. Remembering that it could very well be the last time I could do so.

The Guild would be docking today. Arriving in a large cruiseliner filled with all kinds of treasure and menacing people.

I hadn't noticed how deeply I fell asleep until I awoke alone. There was a void where Yoko was, as if she was never there to begin with.

A note was pinned on the wall above my bed.

'Ryu,
I gave myself a head start. Surely I'll be seeing you soon. At this very moment there are only two people guarding their ship. I'll be turnig myself in to them. But I'm telling you this now...

if you come to save me... I will not lift a finger against the enemy.'

I smirked at the paper tossing it in the garbage. She was probably already in their custody by now.

I just needed to convince Ougai to send me to attack their ship and take back Yoko.

The Port Mafia is one of the more threatening organizations around here besides the Agency.

But recently, we've been constantly targeted and beaten into submission. Though every time Yoko seems to rise to the occasion.

My only fear was that the exhaustion of fighting a one sided battle all this time, may finally catch up to her.

"She sure is a tough one to keep up with." Chuuya smirked. I nodded in agreement though I wasn't really paying attention much.

"Akutagawa." He snapped me out of my daze narrowing his eyes at me. "She'll be okay. She always has been."

I knew that Chuuya was probably just as nervous as myself. There was an eerie silence as the security system at the docks was hacked.

Sure enough, a large ship was unloading cargo there; and sitting atop the deck, was Yoko. Two others were talking to her. We couldn't hear a thing they were saying, but they seemed amused with her actions.

"She could easily take on two people." Higuchi smirked.

"This is different. The Guild is made of insanely strong gifted people. It will be a different experience than fighting normal mercanaries or assassins." I explained.

The words that came to my mouth, were enough to send my heart into a nervous spiral.

Yoko, don't do anything stupid until we get there...
