Chapter 95 - Christmas Day

Thursday -25/12/17- It was 5am on Christmas Day and the rookies were all asleep except for one, that was Roman Reigns. He was lying staring at his ceiling wondering if it was appropriate to get up and wake everyone else up to open Christmas presents. As the clock ticked he grew more frustrated until finally he decided to get up and go.

He went door to door knocking to wake everyone up. Shockingly all of them were more than happy to wake up (yes even Dean). They all got their secret Santa gifts for each other and went back to Roman's room and sat in a circle to trade them.

Roman Reigns- "So who wants to give their gift first?"

Paige Bevis- "I will go first. Roman my gift is for you I hope you enjoy it."

Paige handed over her gift to Roman. He carefully opened the wrapping paper and slipped the coffee machine out from the paper.

Roman Reigns- "A coffee machine. Thank you so much Paige I love it. I'm going to plug this in as soon as we are done here. I think it's only appropriate that I now give my gift so Seth here you go buddy."

Roman handed Seth the gift that he had bought him. Seth shook the box before opening it.

Seth Rollins- "A shoe box. I'm guessing shoes are inside."

Seth opened the box and saw the shoes Roman bought him.

Seth Rollins- "Oh man these are fresh. Cheers Roman I'll get good use out of them. They fit great as well, I'm surprised you remembered my shoe size."

Roman felt relieved that he had chosen the right size for Seth.

Roman Reigns- "No problem Seth and sticking with the order it's now your turn to give your gift."

Seth Rollins- "My gift is for Nikki so Nikki here you go."

Seth handed Nikki a plastic bag. Nikki opened up the plastic bag and looked inside to (unsurprisingly) find a red Ted Baker bag (of course she didn't know it would be red).

Nikki Bella- "Seth this is beautiful thank you so much. I will be using this in the near future hopefully."

Nikki got up and went over to Seth and hugged him.

Nikki Bella- "So sticking with the order I'm up next and Dean my present is for you."

Dean Ambrose- "Awesome."

Nikki handed Dean his gift. She put all the items she bought in a box and wrapped the box. Without a care Dean tore apart the wrapping paper and threw the box lid away.

Dean Ambrose- "I just smell leather coming from the box so that's a good sign."

Dean lifted out the black boots first and examined them. He then did the same for the leather jacket and hoodie.

Dean Ambrose- "This is the best Christmas present I've ever got. Then again a cardboard box occupied first place until this year. Anyway thank you so much Nikki."

Roman Reigns- "So if this worked out right then Dean you should have gotten a present for Paige."

Dean Ambrose- "Correct."

Dean hadn't bothered wrapping the bracelet he bought Paige, he just handed it to her.

Dean Ambrose- "There wasn't a box that came with it for specific reasons but I won't get into those I just hope you like it."

Paige took the bracelet from Dean.

Paige Bevis- "Dean this is beautiful you really went all out for me I love it what is it made out of."

Dean Ambrose- "It's made out of black Spinel as Spinel is the birthstone for those born in August."

Paige Bevis- "You really did go out of your way how much did it cost?"

Dean Ambrose- "That's not important. The important thing is that you like it."

Paige Bevis- "Well I definitely do. This Christmas has been awesome."

The rookies chatted for a little bit and stopped when there was a knock at the door. It was Paul Levesque and Stephanie McMahon-Levesque.

Paul Levesque- "Hey guys merry Christmas."

Stephanie McMahon- "Yes merry Christmas to all of you."

Paul Levesque- "We got you guys a very special present. We were able to schedule you time to talk to your families back home so if you guys come with me we can do this."

Paul led the rookies into an empty room on the floor the rookies stayed on where a computer was set up and one by one the rookies talked to their families back home until finally it came to Dean's turn.

Paul Levesque- "Dean I don't know how to tell you this but we couldn't contact your mom or dad via E-mail, phone number, letter or anything. Both of them are missing."

Dean Ambrose- "Well my dad ain't missing I know where he is but I don't want to talk to him ever again. Cincinnati police will eventually find my mom and take her back to rehab. She's probably gone mental again. You're giving me a weird look as I say that but it's fine it happens a lot to her. I'm going to go now though have fun with your families I guess?"

Dean walked back to his room and locked the door. He punched a hole clean through his wall in anger. Why couldn't his parents of cared for him and bought him presents and loved him.

Dean stared out the window as snow fell just thinking about his past and his experiences with his family. The struggles his mom went through to provide food on his table. He remembered waking up and belongings from his house had been stolen, it was a regular thing. He remembered his mom and dad buying drugs and cigarettes and alcohol with most of the very little money they made.

For the first time in his life Dean realised that he wasn't perfect. The first seventeen years of his life were a personal hell.

There was a knock at Dean's door and when he opened it Paige was stood.

Paige Bevis- "Hey Dean I just came to check if you were ok."

Dean Ambrose- "I'm great why would I not be ok?"

Paige Bevis- "Just because Paul couldn't find your family."

Dean Ambrose- "It doesn't bother me. I'm a street dog. I raised my self I have no family."

Paige Bevis- "Whether you like it or not your mum and dad will always be related to you. Dean I wanted to let you know that regardless of what happens with your mum and dad that me, Seth, Roman and Nikki are your family. We have got your back and if you need a shoulder to cry on we are all here for you."

Dean Ambrose- "That's nice but I'm Dean Ambrose, I don't cry. You should know these things."

Paige Bevis- "I didn't come here to crack jokes Dean. I came here to deliver a serious message that we will never ever desert you regardless."

Dean Ambrose- "Thanks Paige it means a lot."

Paige hugged Dean tightly.

Paige Bevis- "Dean?"

Dean Ambrose- "Yes"

Paige Bevis- "What happened to your wall?"

Dean Ambrose- "Um....that dent has been there since....January. I was supposed to tell someone about that but um....I never did."

The two got up and went back to join the others. They all celebrated Christmas together with a roast turkey dinner and laughed and joked and talked all day and all night. It truly was a very merry Christmas.
