WWE Develops "Year 2017"

Chapter 1 - Roman Reigns.

Monday -1/1/17- WWE were holding open trials for a position on the NXT roster. So many young hopefuls attended the try-out which was being held in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Centre. All the facilities were set up and ready to be used. The company had an exact criteria that they were looking for however which went as follows:

You had to be at least 16 to attend.
You had to be sober (Meaning you couldn't be drunk or high)
Also you couldn't be a smoker.

This meant that a lot of younger people were turned down due to being underage and a lot of older people were turned down because of the drinking and smoking rules.

It took a while to give every person who signed up a designated time slot but eventually the overseer of the project, Paul Levesque, was able to do so.

The first hopeful entered the Performance Centre at 07:00 and the final hopeful was scheduled at 23:30 meaning a long day was ahead. Many try-outs went by until finally at approximately 9am a kid that went by the name of Roman Reigns walked into the room. Paul was immediately impressed just by looking at him. Paul looked at his profile.

Roman was muscly. Roman was good looking. Roman was big.

Paul Levesque- "Mr Roman Reigns. I'd like for you to stand on these scales to find out how much you weigh."

Roman Reigns- "Yes sir"

Paul Levesque- "265, impressive."

Paul Levesque- "Ok now for the speed test I want to see how long it takes for you to run across the ring. Do ten runs so that every time you hit one set of ropes that counts as one."

Roman was happy to oblige and did just that. He was surprisingly quick in completing the task. Once he had finished he looked at Paul.

Paul Levesque- "Ok one more test. The strength test. I want you to take as much weight as you can lift and put it on that barbell and lift it as high above your head as possible. You got it?"

Roman Reigns- "Sure."

Roman put 400lbs onto the bar and lifted it with all his might. Screaming in what sounded like agony but in reality was triumph and got the bar up above him. He held for five seconds and then dropped the bar on the floor.

Paul Levesque- "I think I know someone who just got signed to NXT. His name is Roman Reigns. Congratulations kid, you made the cut."

Roman Reigns- "Appreciate it sir."

Roman walked out happy and humble as he knew that he had made it.
