Chapter 86 - Halloween Party Pt.3

Nikki, Paige, Roman, Seth and Dean all stood in their costumes waiting for the party guests to arrive at the Performance Centre.

Roman was nervous due to the fact that he was told that he'd die at midnight tonight and that someone was coming to murder him. The fact that Dean told him that he had a trick up his sleeve did not help ease Roman's nerves.

Soon some of the people that Nikki and Paige had hired to help with the party arrived (bouncers, bartenders and a DJ).

Then eventually guests started pouring into the hall. Many former and current WWE wrestlers showed up to the event (that weekend there would be WWE Live Events in Florida and RAW would be taped in Miami, Florida on Monday so those on the road with WWE were close by).

The party was going well with everyone looking like they were having a good time with music, dancing, chatting, laughing and games going on all around the room.

Roman, Paige and Dean were in the corner as Paige and Dean kept Roman company while he waited for midnight.

Paige Bevis- "Roman dying isn't all bad. You might be able to come back and visit us from the great beyond. Wouldn't that be cool right?"

Roman Reigns- "You know what if I do I promise to haunt you Paige."

Paige Bevis- "Really? You'd do that for me? Thank you Roman. Now I kind of want you to die."

Dean Ambrose- "If you do die there's plenty of witnesses to see what happens so the dude will probably get caught and go to jail."

Roman Reigns- "Let's stop thinking of a future without me being alive in it. It's really creeping me out."

The hours ticked by until finally it was time to announce the winner of the best costume contest. Nikki Bella and Paige got on stage to announce the winner and make some more announcements.

Nikki Bella- "Ladies and gentlemen my name is Nikki and this is Paige. We are the two girls who planned this party so firstly thank you all for coming to it give yourselves a round of applause."

Everyone clapped.

Paige Bevis- "Now we'd like to thank Mr Paul Levesque for letting us use this hall to hold the party so please give him another round of applause."

Everyone clapped as Paul Levesque waved to everyone.

Nikki Bella- "Next we'd like to thank our friends Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for helping us get all of these tables and chairs lifted into here as they were phenomenal at helping out and we couldn't of did any of this without you three so please clap for them. They are all up in the back left corner of the room."

Everyone turned to look at Roman, Dean and Seth and clapped as Dean stood up on his chair and put both his arms out to each side and then punched the air. The other two remained much more calm.

Paige Bevis- "Now it's time to announce the winner of the best costume contest. After me and Nikki looked around there were a couple of costumes that really stuck out to us so here are the contenders for this very prestigious contest. CM Punk for his Casey Jones costume, Roman Reigns for his demonic pirate costume, Natalya for her Sphinx cat costume and lastly the person very close to the stairs with the creepy clown costume with the baseball bat. Could you all please make your way onto the stage."

Roman got up and Dean and Seth followed him to the stage. Dean and Seth weren't allowed up but stood alert at the stairs.

Nikki Bella- "So it's time to announce the winner of the costume contest and it is my pleasure to inform you that the winner is..."

Paige's phone started making the strumming noise that Apple phones make when you set an alarm. A couple of people laughed.

Paige Bevis- "Sorry that is my alarm for whenever I want to go for a midnight walk."

The clown with the baseball bat then ran at Roman. Dean and Seth jumped on the stage. The clown hit Roman with the bat, kicked Seth and hit him in the back with the bat. From his sleeves Dean whipped out a set of nunchucks.

Dean Ambrose- "I said I had tricks up my sleeve."

Dean ran at the clown and swung the nunchucks at him. Dean clipped the clowns face but the mask protected it from serious damage. It grabbed Dean and flung him onto the stage floor. Dean got winded and was then hurled from the stage. He landed on Randy Orton, Xavier Woods and Big E and they all fell to the floor.

The clown stood over Roman with the bat in hand and let out a crazy laugh. It took its mask off. It was Miles.

Miles- "Hello Roman. Do you remember me?"

Roman looked up and saw Miles over him. He blinked and heard Miles hit the floor but he wasn't sure what had happened. He then saw numerous wrestlers jump over him to lay into Miles and they just started pummelling him with kicks and punches.

Eventually the police were called and Miles was taken away. Unfortunately the attack had scared away many who attended and the party was effectively over. It was only Dean, Roman, Paige, Seth, Nikki and Paul Levesque who stayed to held tidy up the place.

Roman Reigns- "You guys start tidying up I need to talk to Nikki over at the side. Nikki come over here."

Nikki walked over and her and Roman went into a corridor outside the room.

Roman Reigns- "Please explain what happened there. Miles tried to kill me for some reason at your party. Why?"

Nikki Bella- "Ok I set Miles up to hurt you. I didn't know that he'd try to kill you though."

Roman Reigns- "So it was Miles who threw the brick."

Nikki Bella- "Well technically it was Paige who threw it. I tried to throw it but I couldn't reach the window so Paige took a go and that one broke the window."

Roman Reigns- "The notice on Dean's door was easy for you to place but how did you write to Seth in AJ's diary?"

Nikki Bella- "Earlier that day we were bringing tables back and I had a plan to store them in AJ's room and I knew the others would agree so before we left I went into AJ's room and wrote in the diary. I then got Seth to place a box beside where the diary was and I knew he'd look at it and read it."

Roman Reigns- "So after our handshake why didn't you come clean about all of this?"

Nikki Bella- "I forgot to tell Miles not to do it and so he came to do the job."

Roman Reigns- "Nikki you could face criminal charges for this if Miles tells the police that you set him up to it."

Nikki Bella- "I know and I'm so sorry that this happens. Feel free to hate me again."

Roman Reigns- "It's all ok. After our handshake earlier I think we have a clean slate. If I'm asked by the police about it I won't tell them that you had any part in it and I won't even mention to Paige that she had a part to play in it."

Nikki Bella- "Thank you so much. Maybe Dean was right, you're not a bad guy after all."

Roman Reigns- "That's what I've been trying to show you this whole time."

Nikki and Roman went back into the hall to help clean up the mess that had been made.

This was a night they'd never forget due to its controversy and significance. Roman thought he'd die, was attacked and now that attacker finds himself in prison for attempted murder but his story has not been fully told.

Not yet, but one day it will be.

Authors Note: Well it was Paige who threw the brick, Miles who tried to murder Roman and Nikki was the mastermind behind it. I hope you enjoyed that little mystery and I hope that you guys enjoyed coming up with your own conclusions about who did it.
