Phin signaled Sadie to follow her after breakfast. Hindi naman siya nito binigo dahil sumunod ito sa kanyang kwarto.
"Why didn't you tell me about that?" Sadie raise her hand.
"Believe me, wala rin akong alam. They just called me yesterday and then-" she cut her words. So kahapon pala, ngunit wala itong sinabi sa kanya kahapon.
"Yesterday, why you didn't mentioned about it yesterday?" she said sarcastically. Pagod na naupo si Sadie sa kanyang kama.
"You're busy yesterday and I can't ruined the mood." Napasapo na rin siya sa kanyang kama at napasapo sa kanyang ulo. What now? May magagawa pa ba siya? Aside from the fact that her family loves the idea of her extending her stay.
"Nagagalit ka ba dahil kay Attorney? You wanted to leave because of him right? Not just because of your job? You're afraid that if you stay longer your feelings for him will grow again." She did not answer for its partly true. Or she can say Ron's the main reason that she wanted to leave.
"May magagawa pa ba ako? I juts have to avoid him, i don't want to hurt Owen." She whisper. She heard Sadie sighed exagerratedly.
"Phin you don't choose someone just because you don't want to hurt him. Mas malalim ang dapat na dahilan, eventually makakasakit at masasaktan ka pa rin kapag pinilit mo." Phin looked at Sadie defeatedly.
"Why are you saying this now? Ayos na ang lahat, ayaw ko ng maguluhan." She wanted to end this conversation. Kaya naman nagtanong siya kung kailan sila pupunta sa CNS para pumirama ng kontrata.
"One in the afternoon. We only have two hours to prepare. " matapos noon ay lumabas na si Sadie. Bumaling siya sa kanyang laptop, she click the Skype icon para tawagan naman si Owen. She have to deliver the sad news somehow.
Masayang pagbati ni Owen ang bumugad sa kanya. He expressed how much he loves her thru his words.
"Excited na ako sa pagbabalik mo. Let's go to Italy what do you think?" She knows that he have so many plans in his mind. Owen's very good at planning things. Kapag ito ang nagplano ay tiyak na mapupuntahan nila ang lahat ng nais nilang puntahan.
"Owen." She called his name. It's hard to wipe that smile off pero karapatan nitong malaman.
"I will extend my stay."
"What?" nagulat ito sa kanyang sinabi. Bago pa man ito makapag isip ng kung ano ay pinaliwanag niya na agad ang dahilan.
"May agency agreed to the offer that CNS gave. It's only three months love." She use their endearment hoping that it will comfort him.
"Are you staying because of him." His jaw clenched, bakas ang selos sa mukha nito, alam niyang nagpipigil lamang ito ng galit. He knew all about her fast. He knew how she was head over head inloves with that guy.
"NO. How can you say that?"
"Really? Because aside from our distance now, I can feel how you are fading away from me." He ends his words with that. Nawala na ito agad sa linya , bagay na nagpalala sa sakit na kanyang nararamdaman. Buti at kinatok siyang muli ni Sadie para paalalahanan sa kanilang lakad. Muntik niya na talagang makalimutan dahil kay Owen.
Pagkababa ay nakaramdam siya ng kaba. Hindi naman siguro, awtomatiko siyang napahawak sa kanyang labi. Pinauna niya si Sadie na maglakad, hindi pa siya handa na makita si Ron matapos ang ginawa nito sa kanya kagabi.
"Good Morning po ma'am." Napatingin siya sa matandang bumati. Ang isa nilang driver, pasikreto niyang nilibot ang kanyang mata pero walang bakas ni Ron sa paligid.
