Sorry I haven't been updating my laptop broke so now I'm borrowing my sisters... Enjoy!

"We will have an early dismissal do to the increasingly horrible storm. The schedule will also be changed to period 5 then 8." A lady's voice announces through the loud speaker.

Everyone in the class cheers as I roll my eyes at their immaturity. Although, even I can't help but smile a little.

"Only two more periods." I mumble to myself. I hurry over to gym class not wanting to aggravate my coach.

Despite my plan on not making my teacher mad I still managed to be the last one in.

Great job Avery.

I tap Emma's shoulder, "Hey, what are we doing?"

She shook her head sadly at me. "Oh honey I don't even know ."

I turn around watching our teaching try to flirt with the make gym teacher and let me tell you something. She was killing it. Literally, if i was that teacher I would've died from her desperation. Just looking at it had scarred me for the rest of my life.

"Oh... So, that's what you meant? Talk about flirting." I say sarcastically.

I wince at the sight when I feel a hand rest on my shoulder.

"Yup." Emma said popping the 'p'. "Speaking of flirting-"

I see her dart across the room winking at me as she ditches me for the group of boys on the other side. I give a confused expression then again I should probably be used to it by now.

*Sigh* "Now I feel like a loner."

"I'll keep you company."

Without even having to turn around I can already identify who it is. I roll my eyes and cross my arms over my chest in a diva position.

"Are you sure?" I say in a annoyed tone. "I might make you look bad."

"Come on Avery you know that I didn't mean it like that."

"Excuses, excuses, excuses." I walk away losing my patience.

"Can you really turn your back on me that easily?" he asks in a low whisper.

I freeze for a moment but continue walking away while shaking my head. He shouldn't have asked that question. It just caused the problem to become more chaotic, if it was even possible.

I push those unnecessary thoughts aside as our teacher finally gave up on the battle that she was no match for, love.

I know it's kinda harsh but if you would just see her you'd understand my feelings. And probably everyone else in the room.

"Hey Avery, can you go into the supply closet and get some volleys?"

I nod heading for the double doors. I turn on the light where I can just faintly see the bin of volley balls. I make my way over to them being careful where I step for the only light able to guide me is the dim light bulb that seems to be letting me down. I misjudge my distance from the bin and slip on plastic bats we use for baseball.

"Ah!" I hit the cold and dusty floor feeling a sharp pain coming from my right ankle.

"Crap." I hiss trying to get back up.

I blow my bangs out of face in frustration and think of how I'm gonna play this out.

I try to distract myself from the pain by grabbing the handle and it works... for now. I waddle over to the brightly lit gym acting as if nothing happened.

"Here Miss Lynch."

She gives me a small smile and starts to announce what we are going to be doing as I breathe in out deeply trying to calm myself down.

"This hurts like hell!!" I think to myself.

I walk as best as I could to the wall and slide down taking a break. Until I hear my name being called.

"Avery would you like to demonstrate how to properly serve a ball?"

I panic. "Oh no I don't think I'm the best person for tha-"

"It wasn't really a question Avery."

I stand up biting the insides of my cheeks to keep from shrieking. I walk on the opposite side of the net and serve the ball to her.

She bunts it back and I notice where it is going and how far it is from me. But, me being the stubborn person I am, go for it. I run for it diving down on the floor just to get it. I break out into a huge grin until my ankle bangs against the floor.

"Ugh!" I unknowing grip my ankle trying to cradle it. I look at it noticing it's growing black and blue bruises as well as it's swelling.

"Avery! Oh my gosh are you OK?!?!

Emma sprints over to me with her hair flying over the place. She hover her hands over me with a confused look to her face. "Ahh! What do I do??"

I raise an eyebrow. "Emma I'm fine just help me up." I reassure her.

"No need for that." I feel a pair of arms scoop me off the floor from behind me.

"What are you doing?"

"What does it look like?" he retorts walking to the nurses office while I stare at all the people whispering stupid little things.

He leans close to my ear so that only I can hear. "I'm carrying my princess to the healing room." he says in a medieval voice.

I look at him with the 'are you sane?' face. "Healing room? You mean the nurses office? And I'm not a princess and definitely not yours." I pout.

He smirks at me and those strong arms that I once felt underneath me were gone and I found myself falling.

"Ahh!" I scream. Then... they were back. I hold my hand over my heart trying to slow my breathing.

"Don't you ever do that again!" I hit him on the chest. I wrap my arms around his neck not wanting to hit the floor. I was staring at it like my enemy, so focused. When I thought I heard him whisper in an almost in audible sound.

"We'll see about that."
