She glared at him with dark hatred in her eyes. He wondered if she even recognized him. Her eyes averted to her loyal servant beside her.
"Why is this," she gave him a sour look, "mundane here in my home?"
The servant's eyes widened and his face paled. "I'm so sorry, My Queen, I'll dispose of him immediately."
She shot him another dark look and nodded. "And how will that disposal take place?"
The servant gave details about his upcoming death. His jaw clenched, he didn't bother to listen to the specifics. He watched her carefully, eyeing her every move. Hoping for some sort of emotion to come out of her stone cold heart.
She took a deep inhale and nodded again. "Sounds good."
He gritted his teeth and muttered, "Would you just listen to me?"
She pursed her lips and looked at him as if he were a dirty rag. "Why would I?"
He couldn't help but feel the stinging on his eyes. You loved me once, he wanted to say. Rather, he just shut his eyes and shook his head. He felt someone grab onto his arm and pull him away.
