Dear Miles Cade,
Yo Miles! It's your best friend (besides your darling) Ryker Bane! Here's what you missed for today. As you can already tell I'm writing this letter to you because Pip and Riles fell asleep on the couch yesterday night and I don't have the heart to wake them up. That, and I need to take advantaged of writing to you and lecturing you while I can. I stole Pip's writing supplies and booked it to the other room, so hopefully she doesn't mind that I'm doing this.
First off, dude, you can't get upset at Piper for not wanting you to come home because believe me she wants you to come back, but she's pushing you away for your benefit. She knows how much this overseas trip means for your future and there's nothing she wants more than for you to reach your goal. I bet she hasn't even told this yet and it'll probably make you upset, but frankly you need to hear this.
Pip entered her photos into a gallery competition that's out of state and she got accepted into the top five. She doesn't know whether to go or not because she's afraid that you guys will lose this connection you have together. It would be during the first month of college because if she wins that competition she gets to stay there and get a chance to put her photos out into the world. You and I both know how great of a photographer Pip is, but the only factor standing in her way, is you.
Do you remember the day you left before you said goodbye to Pip? You told me these exact words, "I don't want to leave Piper behind. It's an entire summer without her, yes we've spent three summers with each other in a row, but this one feels different. If I leave what will happen? Will she still be with Mason? It doesn't even look like she likes him anymore. I know she's going to let me go, but I don't know if I can let her go."
Dude, that made it clear as day that you are falling for Pip. She supported you in this and I know she's going to hunt me down later for telling you about the gallery competition, but you have to support her in that. She only has until the 22nd of this month to give them an answer.
I know you care about her a lot, I know that whatever happens between you two it'll work out in the end, and you both will be fine.
Distance doesn't matter between you two. You two both are stubborn people that wouldn't let anything tear you two apart. Just, be there for her.
Well, this got too deep for a bad boy like me, so I'll leave it with this: You both still owe me a lifetime of Twinkies. See ya, you love sick fool.
She'll write you tomorrow! (For sure!)
