Dear Miles Cade,

"Piper, you've been my best friend since the beginning of freshman year in high school and there isn't a doubt in my mind where I wouldn't listen to you. If anything you're in the right and I'm on your side. Always."

Are you drinking too much of the ocean water? That was the cheesiest thing you've ever written to me, but thank you for that reassurance. I needed it. Please, don't worry about me. I can handle anything.

To recap the whole Mason texted me out of nowhere, well, I may have pissed him off a little. He needed cash for some beer, but I'm saving my money for something more important (you'll understand soon), and he came by my house just to bother me about it. Thank god Bradley told him to leave. If Bradley wasn't there... lets just say I really love my older brother.

Getting off of that uncomfortable topic, thanks for sending me a letter back. I really enjoy hearing about your experience; it's so great that you know what you're going to do in the future. Also, you cannot use your excuse of focusing on school to not date. Riley's a sweet girl, but if you really don't want to date her then fine. Stay single and lonely for the rest of your life. Jokes, but seriously!

I want you to be happy Miles. Single or not, it doesn't matter as long as you're happy. That's all I ever want for you. I'll write you tomorrow.

Your best friend always,

Piper Cheyenne
