"Zack! I'm a ghost!

"I don't care Scarlet"

I don't care? Sinabi ko yun. Actually I don't really know what my reaction should be when she said that she is a ghost, a living soul. Matatakot ba ako? Magugulat? Tatanggapin ko ba sya? Sa dami ng nangyari ngayon, parang naparalize yata ang isip ko. All I want is for this horrible nightmare to end. I want Scarlet to be safe in my arms. Gusto ko syang ipagtanggol kahit sa paanong paraan at sana wag na syang maalis sa tabi ko kasi sya ang bestfriend ko.

Time check: 10:52 in the evening

It's about a couple of minutes ago since our encounter with the reaper. The reaper that suppose to take Scarlet's soul. Pero napigilan ko yun sa di ko maipaliwanag na paraan. There is something within me and in my body that prevents me from taking any harm from that damn grimreaper. At ngayon, we are here under the shade of a tree with Scarlet lying in my arms still emotional on what happened. Habang ako ay pinipilit pa ring i-sink in sa makitid kong isip ang mga nangyari. About 3 hours ago, I'm just a normal boy living my normal life and suddenly I encounter a reaper and I'm with my bestfriend who turned out to be a ghost? Suddenly my life become so ordinary. So paranormal! Ahhhh! I wanna go home!

"Scarlet! Let's go home now" I said to her gently

"But Z!??"

"Why? What is it bothering you Scar?"

"I have no home. Hopeless ghosts like me have no home" she said (still emotional)

The sadness in her face really bothered me. Ayokong makikita sa mukha nya na malungkot sya kase nalulungkot din ako.

"Well kung wala kang tahanan, considered my home as yours now:)" I said to her

"Pero pano? Z? Now you know that I'm different, will you choose to be my bestfriend anymore?"

"Syempre naman. Walang iwanan diba?"

"Oo pero pano kung mapahamak ka? Pano kung balikan nga tayo nung reaper na kukuha sakin? Pano?" she said

"Tama na ang pag-iisip sa pero pero na mga yan. I don't care even if thousand of reapers will appear in front of me. As long as we are with each others arm, no one's gonna harm us. Ok?" I said to Scarlet then embrace her again.

"Salamat Z! You really are my bestfriend"

"You bet I am! So don't you worry. My B-e-s-t-f-r-i-e-n-d!" Pagchecheer ko sa kanya

I saw her smile again after this bad disaster. The tears in her eyes suddenly fades as her cheeks cheer up.

"So Z! What do we do now?" She said in a sad tone still

"I don't really know Scar. Masyadong pang mabilis ang mga pangyayari sakin" I said

"Ahmmm. Ok Zack. Alam kong medyo nahihirapan ka pa. Kahit ako."

"I have a question Scarlet"

"Huh? What is it Z?"

"If you are a ghost, how can I see you and even talk to you then?"

"Hindi ko rin alam. Ever since you saw me in the park, I was shocked also. Pero di ko pinahalata kasi ayokong malaman mo ang totoo"

"Siguro I'm just somekind of a spirit-magnet kind. But don't you worry hindi na kita katatakutan"

"Thanks Zack. Now, let's go home then. Your parents were probably worrying about you"

"Sige Scarlet. From now on, my home will be your home too. Just live in my tree house then" I said to her with a smile ( ayoko kasing madisappoint s'ya eh)

So we went out of that horrible park and we intented to go home. I went straight to my tree house with Scarlet.

"Scarlet! So pano na? What do we do now?"

"I don't know"

Malungkot pa rin ang mukha nya. Sa tingin ko di pa rin sya nakakarecover sa lahat ng nangyari kanina.

"Scarlet. What's wrong? Don't be sad. Wala nang mananakit sayo ngayon?"

I put my hands on her cheeks and stared at her.

"Cheer up Scar! Ayokong malungkot ka"

"Thanks Z. . . . .  Thank you for everything"

"It's ok Scar. You are my bestfriend:)"  I said while holding her hands and it was very cold but yet I love it.

Time check: 11:58 pm

We are botj sitting on my tree house. Staring at the moon together. The silhoette of the sky is creeping me out but yet the moon was so extraordinary blue and big this night. Just like what happened now is extraordinary for me. Every moment feels like a fantasy. Para bang panaginip lang to lahat. Na parang gigising lang ako at mabubura ang lahat ng nangyari. Pero hindi to panaginip, totoo to.

Suddenly I heard Scarlet whispered very close to my ears.

"Zack. Good night"

And suddenly the wind blows hard ang poof! Scarlet disappeared.

I yelled. "Kaaasar! Good night din!"

"Haaay!! Mag-isa na naman ako dito sa malungkot kong tree house" sabi ko sa sarili ko.

Ahhh! It's midnight and I don't wanna sleep yet.

That's when I played a song entitled "The one that got away"

Summer after high school when we first met

And on my eighteenth birthday we got matching tattoos. . . . . . In another life, you would be my girl

"Haaay! Scarlet. Hahaha" napatawa na lang ako sa sarili ko sa mga sandaling yun.

Time check: 12:30 am

Tapos na pala ang nakakaasar na araw na to. Sa wakas, makakatulog na ako ng mahimbing. After all we have encountered, talagang I am really emotionally and physically exhausted. So kailangan ko nang magpahinga at dito na ako sa tree house ko matutulog.
