"Come on," Marceline whined. "It's basically done. One peek won't hurt".

"Nope!" I said smirking. "I refuse to see it till it's done." Marceline grunted dismissive.

"You bum."

Marceline tugged me towards the construction site.

"So you don't want to see where you'll be training?" She asked curiously. I shrugged.

"Not really." She sighed disappointed.

"I guess it would be too much to hope for. All right. Time to leave then." She looked up at me strangely. Suddenly, she tippy toed and got in my face. Flinching, I stepped back.

"W-what are you doing?" I stuttered. Marceline's eyes showered mine with intent.

"Have you grown taller?" She asked. She put her hand on my head drawing close to my chest, trying to see if I had grown.

Then Freya came.

"Hey!" She yelled over the dense barrier of fog that had surrounded the construction site. Marceline to my surprised, remained calm, and called her over.

Cat -fight part two?

"Over here!" She called out. I stepped back, preparing to bolt if another fight were to break out. To my surprise, Freya calmly walked over to us.

"Aren't... aren't you two..." I began. They both turned their attentions to me confused.

"Aren't we what Mikey?" Asked Freya cheerfully. I shook my head.

One minute they're fighting, the next they're best friends... I just don't get women.

I looked at the brunette and the blonde and began to walk back into the fog, back out the way we came into the construction site. As rude as it was, I was getting tired of their company and wanted to go to my bed, not a stretcher. And besides, didn't I still have to attend school? Highschool and my failing grades were the only reason I was still even here!

"Where are you going?" Asked Marceline as she jogged to keep up with me. Freya skipped.

"Mikey, are you okay?" Freya asked me anxiously. I stopped walking and took a look at her.

It was the second person today that has asked me that question.

I looked down at my clammy sweaty palms them stuffed them back into my pockets.

Am I okay?

"There you are." Vale strolled over to me and the two women. She was the tallest of the two, yet I was taller then the three.

Her eyes, as bright as they were, were also my constant reminder of hidden power, and hidden silver eyes.

"Ah, and the group is complete." Freya announced smiling as Vale joined us from the blur of cold fog and clear air. "Welcome to the group."

"What's up with you two? " Vale began, before dismissing the topic.  "Nevermind."

"Why'd you take Michael?" Marceline demanded of her. Vale looked straight at Marceline and held her glaze. The air between them thickened in an akward uncomfortable sense as they continued to stare. In the end, Vale lost the staring contest and shrugged.

"The poor bastard and I were hungry. Not that you'd two know anything about it, you and the blonde fighting over bullshit and all."

Vale looked at me as Freya and Marceline looked at each other in shame.
