"She's in here." I told them, ripping off the chains that held the front two gates together. I looked behind me, and saw Freya look at me terrified.

"I'm sorry Mike... but I can't..."

"What?" I asked, stopping to look back at everyone. Miss Secaw's ears were down and Freya was sweating crazily with a pained look on her face. Hailey as heaving air in and out, her hands on her knees, hair wet with her sweat. I looked over at Vale and saw how she did her best to look calm and composed, but I could hear her heart beat quick like a rabbit's to composite for all the energy she used to follow me.

It was then that I noticed that the triplets from the bus were probably still at camp, but I pushed that thought aside.

Everyone... they're all tired...

But we've got to keep moving!

"Secaw, stay behind here with Freya. It's only been four or five months, but I think hee contractions are starting."

"What about me?" Hailey asked, raising her hand. I looked at her coldly.

"What about you?"

"She can help." Vale suggested. I glared at Vale before moving my attention back to Hailey. As I neared her, I felt her trembling through the earth, heard her hold her breath as I came closer, smelled her sweet scent in my nostrils.

But she wasn't the only one that was affected by the shortened distance. I felt a thumping sound begin from within my chest, then looked back at her surprised with realization. That's when I realized what she had reminded me of.

She's ... She's a full on succubus...! That's what she smells like!  Hailey... she must be related to Freya...

Suddenly looking back at her with a new expression, I turned to Vale and denied the suggestion.

I'm not putting any more endangered species at risk.

"This is a fight between me and Red, no one else has to get involved."

"It doesn't look like you'll have much choice here Michael," Miss Secaw said, her ears perked. "Human authorities are nearing. They'll see me, a human with cat ears, and pregnant Freya. They'll most likely take her to the hospital, and the moment they see her and her nonhuman baby, I don't think you'll be seeing either or anytime soon."

"it's true," Hailey added on sadly. "Succubus children look completely different from human babies. And to add onto that, Freya is also an unknown species of siren, so I wouldn't be surprised if genetics made the baby have mermaid scales or angel wings."

I looked over at Freya and saw how she dropped to her knees, her face grimacing in pain. I went over to Freya's side and gently picked her up.

"M...Michael?" She asked shaking.

"I'm not loosing you Freya." I told her, looking down at her pale sweaty forehead in the darkness that had begun to fill the sky. "I'm never leaving you alone. Not now, and not again."

Freya looked at me surprised, and her cheeks were suddenly a deep shade of pink.

After that, I bent one of the poles of the gates and we all slipped into the castle estate. We looked at each other the moment we approached the house, all feeling the presence of another golden eyes in our core.

Everyone looked at me before I kicked the front double doors open, Freya still in my arms.

"Let's go save a vampire."
