Marceline
I didn't know what was happening as I fought Michael. To be honest, I felt like I was buried deep inside myself, so far down that not even my thoughts could reach my body. I was a floating soul in the the dark capsule that was my body. So cold. So lonely.
So... angry.
Was Reddrik planning on keeping me this way for all of our eternal lives? It was as if I was stuck in Pandora's box... frozen from time. Forever.
Except this was worse. Because I wasn't trapped in a stupid tiny box, body and soul. I was alive and killing. And there was nothing I could do but sit and twiddle my thumbs while I spent eternity in a shadow of myself.
I needed someone on the outside to help me. To pull me out of the dark void that was the nothingness of my soul. I needed someone to save me. Someone to be my hero.
Someone. Anyone.
But that's when I remembered that I had a mask on my face. I wouldn't be recognizable, and even if my friends did recognize me, they wouldn't know the proper technique to remove the mask.
That's why I was surprised when I felt the cold air blast my face. The cold, freezing air that neatly picked at the open wounds of my face. I opened my eyes wide with surprise. I was standing in shock, eyes wide with confusion, then, next thing I knew was I had fallen. Then, I had hit my head against the hard floor.
The sour taste of my own blood tasted foul in my lips as I bleed a pool of blood. Overhead, I heard a disgusting lying voice fill the air.
"You know, after I kill you, I'll raise your kids for you. I'll be the father they never knew... and the monster they've always feared when I eat them. Succubi are such a tasty species, and they've wondered why they're almost gone extinct!"
I clenched my fangs and felt my eyes vibrantly glow. A tear slid on my grimy face when I remembered that Freya had died.
That stupid bitch... I thought, frustrated. How could she just die? After all the things we did to save her ass, how could she just die now?
Freya had left behind two infants and a lover. And now, they were in the hands of this generation's second greatest evil.
That bastard Reddrik! Wait... wait...
Still paralyzed but slowly healing, I tried to think back before the mask, before Michael's pained filled roared.
Red took the golden axe of regret to go slow Mike down... that was when I escaped the chains... But I don't think he used the actual hatchet... Didn't he say that he was going to use the bottom stick?
Are Freya and the others really dead?
"Ah, but the bastards will have to wait. Right now, I'm dealing with the man who killed the love of my life."
I twitched when I felt Red address me, and tried to move around to show Michael that I was alive. But I was paralyzed, most likely an after effect on the romaval of the mask.
"Ah, and Marceline, the dead vampire. Such a shame."
I felt his cold arms embrace me in a hug. I looked at Red and he looked down at me with a sadistic smile. He carefully held my head away from Mike, so that he couldn't see that I was alive. I bit my lip with my fangs and drew blood in disgust as he began to take off my clothes. Mike could see that I was alive and grossed out.
He couldn't see that I was alive and pissed off.
I'll kill him! I'm going to decorate this castle with his blood! I'll... I'll..!
"What do you think you're doing to her?" Michael yelled, seemingly antagonized to see Red touch me so familiarly. Red looked over me at Mike and laughed, as if he had forgotten to mention something.
"I promised Marceline that I'd make love to her in front of you, so I guess even a corpse will have to do."
You've got to be joking.
"Let... let Marceline go ..." Mike said sputtering out blood. It was then that I realized that he might have already been injured.
Already too hurt to fight, but put up the facade regardless. I couldn't tell if he was in pain or not by the sound of his voice, but I wished that he would just stop the tough guy act and go home while he still could.
But deep down, I knew that he would never do that. He was too kind for that. As a human, he was a lamb, weak yet kind hearted. Now, as a god, he was a lion. Brave, gentle, and prepared to fight until the end for his allies.
"This is between you... and me." He stuttered. My eyes closed with a sudden sense of relief.
I looked up at Reddrik's face and saw him look at Mike angrily. As his eyes glowed, he roared at Michael, and his face began to look distorted.
"Only between you and me? Are you an idiot? Bah! What the hell! Let's fight then! I'll take everything you still have left, even your life!" Red threatened, and I could almost feel Mike's smiling.
Finally.
"Alright, let's fight!"
