"Alice?!" I heard someone calling my name. "Alice?" I tried to ignore the voice and go back to sleep. But then I sensed a sudden movement next to me. It caused me to sit up, rubbing my eyes tiredly.

I could see Ed's silhouette in the darkness of the room. He was breathing heavily, the sheets clutched in his fingers. "Ed?" I whispered and touched his shoulder, not knowing what was going on. He winced at my touch and turned his head in my direction.

Confusion and also fear was written over his face. "Are you okay?" I asked softly. He shook his head and wiped his eyes with his shirtsleeves.

"J...just a nightmare," he mumbled. He looked like a lost puppy and it made my heart ache. "I'm sorry for waking you up." He looked at me with glassy eyes. "I didn't mean to..."

"Shhh, it's okay, baby," I said, cutting him off before he could apologize.
"Do you wanna talk about your dream?" He shook his head again. "Okay, that's fine. Come here." I opened my arms and embraced him, letting his head rest on my shoulder. After a while of me just holding him I heard him mumble into my skin.

"You said you couldn't keep up with the touring anymore and me being constantly away." He swallowed and continued. "You said you'd had enough and kicked me out."

"Did I do that?" I whispered. He nodded slowly. "Wow, that must've been a crazy me. She totally doesn't know how lucky she is to have such a wonderful boyfriend," I said quietly while combing my fingers through his hair to calm him down. He took a deep breath and pulled away from me, looking me in the eyes. "But what if someday you'll really leave?"

"Teddy," I let my forehead rest against his. "That's not going to happen. Never," I reassured him before softly touching my lips to his. I tangled my hand in his messy ginger hair and pulled him closer. He placed his hands on my waist, squeezing lightly.

"Promise?" he asked in between kisses. I stopped to take a look in his ocean blue eyes.
"Pinky promise." He smiled and hugged me tightly, nuzzling my neck in a way that sent chills down my spine.

"Come on, let's go back to sleep now," I suggested pulling him down onto the mattress with me.

"Good idea," Ed yawned and curled up behind me, spooning me. "G'night, Love," he muttered, pressing his lips against my neck.

"Goodnight, Teddy."
