"Ed, wait! I can't walk anymore!" I moaned out of breath. Ed stood a few feet in front of me and looked back at me over his shoulder.

"You alright?" he asked.

"No, I'm not! My feet hurt, I'm cold and the rain's coming down in buckets!" I leaned on a near tree for support.

Today, Ed had taken me to see London for the first time in my life.I've never been to this city before, since I grew up in America.
London was amazing and for me it seemed like the city has a life of it's own.
At first I was more than eager to walk around and visit everything I've ever wanted to see.

But then it started raining and it's been getting darker and colder by every minute. We've been up on our feet for what felt like an iternity. I was exhausted, hungry and craving the comfort of our bed. I just wanted to sleep.

"I know you're tired but I promise it won't take us too long to get back to the car now," he tried to motivate me.

"You've already said that 30 minutes ago!" Rain was dripping from my hair and my wet clothes clang to my body.
I didn't care about anything anymore so I just sat down in the middle of the wet street and leaned my back against the tree. I noticed Ed slowly approaching me. He knelt down in front of me, a look of guilt on his face. "Darling, look, I'm sorry your first trip to London turned out to be such a disaster. I didn't mean to ruin your day." He sounded very upset. I wasn't mad with him tho, the weather wasn't his fault.

"I'm just very exhausted, you know?" I gave him a weak smile. He nodded his head.

"I know, but you should get up from the wet ground. I don't want you to get sick." He held his hand out for me and I took it, letting him help me to my feet again

Then he turned around and offered me a piggy-back. I climbed onto his back and sighed in relief. "Thank you," I whispered as I pressed my lips to his neck. I could feel his wet hair on my skin. "Everything for you. Let's get going now. I owe you a good cup of tea and a warm bed," he said, walking through the busy streets, with me on his back.

"Sounds great," I mumbled and closed my eyes.

"I'm sorry for this disaster. I'll take you to London some other day, okay?" I wanted to answer him but I'd already fallen asleep right there on his back, while the rain came pouring down on us.
