Treehouse

"Come on, Ed, help me!" I whined, my voice sounding muffled behind the huge pile of blankets I was trying to carry up to our treehouse.
Tonight, Ed and I had decided to camp up in the little treehouse, we had built in our backyard last summer. The weather was finally nice enough to sleep outside without the risk of freezing to death at night.

Ed poked his head around the corner of the wooden wall and watched me struggling with a smirk on his face.
"Do you need help with that, Darling?" he asked innocently, gesturing towards the blankets in my arms.

"Ed," I growled,"move your lazy ass and help your lady or she's going to rip your head off."

He laughed but leaned down from the wooden deck of the treehouse and took the blankets from my hands. He placed them down beside him before leaning down again to help me up as well. As soon as I sat next to him I let my fist collide with his shoulder.

"Oww!" He slapped his hand against the area I just hit him. "What was that for?"

"For letting me wait and laughing at me," I answered sweetly. As a response he just muttered something incomprehensible under his breath while rubbing his colorful arm.

"Stop whining and help me prepare our bed before it's getting dark. The sun is already setting," I said grabbing one blanket from the pile and starting to unfold it. Ed sprang to his feet in a matter of seconds, eagerly taking the next blanket. "Let's hurry then, we can't miss the sunset!" Chuckling I shook my head at how cute he was.

A few minutes later the wooden floor was covered with blankets and pillows. Ed had even brought his guitar up here and placed it in the corner. Everything was prepared for the night.
Ed was already sitting on the edge of the treehouse, holding a hand out for me. "Care to join me?"

I smiled, gladly taking his hand. As soon as I sat down next to him he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to him. I closed my eyes, enjoying the warm summer breeze that was brushing my face. It really was the perfect night for a treehouse sleepover.

"Open your eyes, Honey. You don't want to miss the sunset, do you?" Ed whispered in my ear. Grinning I opened my eyes again and let my head fall to the side on Ed's shoulder. And we sat there, arm in arm, watching the sun disappearing beyond the horizon. We stayed there for a little while longer, not saying abything but just enjoying each other's warmth and company. It was a little cooler by now, not much, but it still caused me to shiver slightly.

"Do you want to go inside?" Ed asked softly and I nodded. He let me crawl inside first and closed the purple curtains behind him before joining me. I already got comfortable on the sea of large, soft pillows and blankets and patted the spot next to me. He lay down beside me but stayed there, not moving closer, with his elbow holding up his head and just staring at me.

I rolled over to face him. "Stop staring, Ed. You're making me nervous."

"What? Am I not allowed to look at my beautiful girlfriend anymore?" he grinned, making me blush.

He reached out his arm and let his fingers trace lightly around my face. I lay still as he shifted closer to me. His face was right in front of me as my eyes fell on his pink lips.

"Kiss me?" I breathed.

"Do it or sing it?" he smirked with a cheeky grin.

I laughed quietly. "Both, but maybe do it first?"

"Your wish is my command."

He dipped his head and let his lips brush over mine before gently pressing them together. Soft, his lips were so soft as they moved with mine.

Somehow, we ended up with me lying on top of him and his hands on my hips.

"Are you gonna sing to me now?" I whispered after breaking the kiss. He smiled, his eyes sparkling in the moonlight that fell through one single, little window.

"What do you want me to sing?"

I raised one eyebrow. "Kiss Me, what else?"

He chuckled and shook his head. "I'm not gonna sing my own song, that's weird."

"Ed," I pouted and batted my eyelashes at him. "Pleaseee?"

"Ugh, fine. I really have to learn how to say no to you," he groaned.

"You're the best, Teddy!" I cheered and leaned down to kiss his nose.

This makes me wish I had a treehouse, too
