The feeling of soft fingers brushing over my shoulder made me stire in my sleep. They wandered down to my stomach. It tickled lighty and I shiffted to get more comfortable. But as someone starting pocking my cheek, there was no way of going back to sleep. I blinked a few times and yawned, before opening my eyes. Ed was looking down at me with a smile on his face. My head was lying on his lap and a blanket was spread out over me.

"Hey, sorry for disturbing your sleep but you told me to wake you up after an hour," he said, stroking my cheek.

"Thank you for waking me, Teddy." I smiled at him and sat up a little so I could grab his face to pull him into a kiss. He squeezed me lightly before pulling back.

"Hey, Alice?" he asked, while rubbing his thumb over my hand.

"Yeah?"

"I was wondering if you'd maybe like to go out tonight? You know, just the two us. We haven't done that in a while."

I could tell that he really wanted to go.

"Yes, that'd be nice. Where do you want to go?"

"There's a little pub near our flat. There's also live music and I thought we could slow dance a bit." He sounded excited, but I hesitated.

"Uhm, I've never slow danced before," I confessed.

"What?" He looked at me with big eyes. "Really? I mean I'm not a great dancer but everyone knows how to slow dance right?"

I laughed and shook my head. "I'm serious, Ed. I've never tried it. I don't dance at all."

"Don't worry, Darling. We will fix that tonight," he promised and brought my hand to his lips to kiss the back of it.

"Let's go get ready then!" I cheered and untangled myself from him.

We got up from the sofa and made our way upstairs to our room. I headed towards my closet and opened it. He followed me and wrapped his arms around me from behind. "What are you going to wear tonight?"

"I don't know yet. Something a little nicer," I said while looking through my clothes.

"Wait, does that mean I also have to dress up for you?"

I laughed and turned around. "No Ed, you don't have to dress up for me. Jeans and t-shirt is fine." He grinned and wanted to kiss me but I put a finger on his lips and shook my head. "No, you go and put on some clothes or else we won't get ready at all today." He pouted a little but gave in and went over to his own closet. I concentrated on finding something to wear again, but it wasn't a too difficult desicion. I chose a simple black, knee length dress, which I knew Ed liked.

"I'll be ready in 5 minutes," I informed him, heading into the bathroom to get dressed and fix my hair. I simply let it fall down over my shoulders. On the way back, I stepped into my favourite black boots and grabbed a sweater. Then I walked out into the bedroom. "I'm ready." Ed was busy with tying his shoes and as he turned to me a big smile streched across his face. "You look lovely. That dress suits you so well." He walked over, took my hand and spun me around. I blushed.

"Thank you, Teddy. You look quite handsome yourself." And he indeed looked HANDSOME. He was wearing a black jeans and a simple white t-shirt, that made his bright tattoos stand out. He smiled and offered me his arm.

"Ready to go, Mylady?" We linked arms and walked out the front door into the cool air.

After a short walk, the pub came into sight. He opened the door for me and we went inside. It was a really nice and cozy place, and most important, not crowded. He guided me to a table in the back and we sat down. After ordering our drinks we just watched the people around us for a while.

"Everything all right?" 'Cause I know you usually don't like going out," he suddenly asked and put his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.

"Yes, I'm fine. It's really nice here. Thank you for askin, tho," I said and turned my head to kiss his cheek.

"So, you still want to slow dance right? I know the band's going to play a few slow songs now we can dance to," he asked carefully.

"I'd love to Ed."

A smile appeared on his face."Let's go then!" He took my hand and pulled me with him to the dance floor. I squealed a little as the band started to play the first notes of Turning Page by Sleeping at Last. I loved that song.

I looked up at Ed and caught him smiling like an idiot. He bend down to kiss me gently. "So, what now? I have no clue of what to do. I'm going to make a fool of myself, Ed!" I moaned.

"Shhh, calm down, Darling. Put your other hand on my shoulder," he quietly instructed me and wrapped one arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. Then he started swaying to the music. "Move with me, Honey." I did as he told me and awkwardly started moving a bit. "Relax, you're doing great," he assured me. I calmed down a bit and lay my head on his shoulder. I actually started to enjoy this. He kissed the top of my head.

"I love you Ed. I'm so happy," I whispered. He brought my hand he was holding up to his neck and let go.

"Well, making you happy is my job, Love," he answered quietly as he placed both of his hands on my waist. My head was still resting on his shoulder and I breathed in his scent. I felt his fingers under my chin, lifting it up.
Ed's beautiful blue eyes shone with happiness as he leaned in to connect our lips. I put his face between my hands and stroke his scratchy cheek. A minute later the song ended and they started playing another faster one. Hand in hand, we walked back to our table and sat down.

"How was your first dance? It wasn't that bad, was it?" he asked me. I hugged him tightly and pressed my face into his chest.

"It was perfect. Thank you for being my first slow dance, Teddy," I mumbled. He just hugged me back.

"You're welcome. I hope we can repeat that soon," he told me, causing me to smile against his chest.

I hoped so too.
