Exhaustion

"Oh my god, I'm so exhausted."

I dropped my bag in the hallway and took off my jacket and shoes. I was barely able to keep my eyes open.

"Hey, Darling." Ed poked his head around the corner, a smile on his lips.

"I'm soooo exhausted, Teddy," I whined.

"I know, come here. I have something for you. I'm sure you'll feel better afterwards." He walked over to me, taking my hand to place a gentle kiss on the back before lifting me up in his arms. He carried me through the hallway, heading towards the bathroom.

It was warm and steamy in there and a lovely smell lingered in the air. I looked over to the bathtub and found it filled with hot water and my favourite bubble bath.
"Oh Ed, thank you! That's so sweet!"

"Anything for you." He smiled and gave me a quick peck on the lips, before helping me out of my clothes and into the tub. He also got rid of his clothes and settled down behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me close. I leaned back with a sight and closed my eyes. The feeling of Ed's skin against mine and the hot water relaxed my sore muscles. I turned my head to the side, my forehead nuzzled against his neck. I felt his hot breath brushing over my skin.

"This is nice," I mumbled.

"Yeah?" Ed asked while trailing his hands over my belly.

I closed my tired eyes and sighed. "Just what I needed"

I felt so relaxed, I could fall asleep right there in the tub. But before dozing of completely, I felt Ed's fingers tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Do you wanna go to bed?" he whispered softly. I just nodded my head.

"Okay."
He hepled me to get out of the tub and wrapped us both into warm, cozy towels. "Let's go," he said, grabbing my hand and guiding me into our bedroom. He tucked me in before crawling under the blanket and getting comfortable next to me. After he'd wrapped me safely in his arms, it didn't take me more than a minute to fall asleep.
