Part 14:Dreaming Nightmare

Last night,
I dreamt a dream.
Oh so real,
I had to stifle the scream.

Last night,
My cheeks were wet.
Tear strains,
My skin had met.

Last night,
The past came back.
Following me,
As the wolf does the pack.

And when I woke,
My mind was racing,
Timid fear,
My heart was chasing.

Is it just me,
Who is stalked by the past?
Probably not.
But why did I feel so alone,so lost ?

Silly me,
Thought she could forget.
Block it out,
Calmly rest.

But alas,
Last night I dreamt that dream,
The all familiar,
Flickers and seams.

Sometimes I forget,ya know?
Forget it was all real.
When I dream that dream of the past,
I remember the water-logged memories I thought I had finally lost.

But I haven't lost them,
And I'm afraid that I never will.
Dreaming memories,
As my body lays still.
