Part 27:Not A Poem (SONG)

50 12 14

Not a poem...read the author's note for explanation ❤

Sitting on a stadge,
Blinded by the spot lights.

Now all attention's on me.

It could be raining,
Or the sun shining.

But I can't seem to see past these walls.

They creep up on me,
Oh so suddenly.

Yet I build them higher.

Can't risk letting you see what they hide,
Can't risk letting you see inside.

So I put on a brave face,
Inside I'm stuck in a small place.

Can't seem to claw my way free.

I'm trying too hard,
The real me is hiding safely in the dark.

You come my way,
Promised to stay forever.

But you left me.

Now all you see when you look at me,
Is a distant memory...

This is a song I wrote forever ago and I can't seem to get the tune out of my head so I decided to post it!

I was probably like 14 at the time but this song has alway stuck with me...I didn't add the chorus and what not but I thought it would be therapeutic to just add this little piece

Thank you for reading!
