Part 15: I Heard Your Song

Sweet words,
Spilling lies.
Broken hearts & ,
Misty eyes.

In that verse so sweetly sung,
Metaphors my heart did un-numb.
How did someone I had not meet,
Describe my misery in one smooth set?

As I gazed upon the stars,
A little flicker I felt inside.
A tiny warmth began to grow,
As if the sun shone through and lit my skies.

It was then,
In a sweet melancholic verse,
I felt like for once,
I was not cursed.

Someone understood,
My icy cracks and empty words.
Somehow they expressed it all,
In a note ,in a cord.

Now I understand,
The allure in a song.
As the night turns to dawn ,
And the beat carries on..
