Part 29: Rage

49 13 6

Deep in the deepths of her heart
It runs and flows with force.
Frosty as the Artic winds,
It builds up speed in a definite course.

Like an angry raging ocean,
It's current holds unforgiving devotion,
Dragging you under before you can gasp for breath,
So powerful is its motion.

Raw blackened rage,
An internal anger that refuses to be caged.

How do you describe,
The bottomless pit you hide?
Feeling it consume you whole,
A pest you cannot keep out of your mind.

Like a red blazing fire,
It licks and burns with desire.
Wanting to be let free,
Inflict revenge on those who wronged you or me.

But take a breath,
Do you feel it?
Your soul aching to forgive;
To be set free and to finally just...live.

To forget who wronged me,
To pretend it didn't hurt.
To simply let by-gones be,
To erase the anger from memory.

Alas human nature,
We thrive off of gain.
How will our minds mature,
If we keep fuelling our fires with pain?

So just take a breath,
But before you let it go,
Allow the seas to calm,
And the warmth to melt the icy snow.

Settle your current,
Let deep black turn to blue.
Now release that breath,
And with it,
Free that anger to.
