I had to have Kyle change the bandage on my arm. I couldn't do it to myself. He had me sit on the counter where Ethan had me sit to take care of my foot. This time, Ethan wasn't in the picture, even though I wish he was. Kyle was slowly unwrapping the old bandage, that way he wouldn't hurt my arm more than what it already is. As the bandage was coming off more and more, they appeared more and more.
I'm so ashamed of what I've done to myself. Those cuts shouldn't define who I am as a person, yet they don't seem to ever leave. The scars just keep adding up every time I lose all hope. They are all puffy, red, and irritated. The cream that he had to put on hurt the second it got into them.
"OUCH!" I screamed
"I'm sorry. I'm trying to be gentle." He said concerned.
"It's okay. It just hurt right then. My first reaction to the pain."
"Oh okay. Well maybe you shoul-"
"Kyle please.." I whispered to him. I looked at him with soft eyes, so he knew to not go any further with his statement.
"I know. I'm sorry." Looking back down at my arm.
He was almost done with the cream, and about to put the new bandage on. He went to go wash his hands, came back and couldn't find the bandage. Going to search for the bandage, I was left alone on the counter of the kitchen.
Soon enough I wasn't alone; Ethan decided to join me. He examined my arm from top to bottom where the cuts where. His eyes were starting to water up like he was upset or something. Not sure why he would be upset. He took my hand and kissed the back of it like he would never see me again, which made me tear up.
No words were spoken. There was only silence. When Kyle got back, Ethan left us alone. "What was that?" he questioned. I just shrugged my shoulders to answer him. He went on, and bandaged my arm. After he was done, I headed up to my room, not saying a word to anyone. I knew Ethan was staring at me, but I didn't want to make eye contact.
