Evangeline P.O.V.
"This is ridiculous!" I yelled, stomping my foot across the dense forest. Stefan's laughter rang behind me as he caught up. "We'll find her Eva, she usually leaves breadcrumbs." He says, walking in step with me. "It's dark, night has fallen, I'm freezing and very worried!" I complained angrily rubbing my arms to warm them.
"Here," He takes off his jacket and places it over my shoulders. "Stefan, this is yours." I said taking it off. Grabbing my hand he stopped me. "No, I don't want you getting cold." He said, sternly. "Fine!" I sighed burying deeper in his warm jacket. "Won't you get cold?" I asked, walking by many headstones and graves.
"I'm a vampire, we usually have a little cold resistance." He smiles, placing his hands in his pockets. "Cheater." I stuck my tongue out at him, playfully. Chuckling at my humor, he pulls me closer against him and the both of us walked over the graveyards, hands held and my head on his shoulder as he supported me.
"You know if we were in a different place, this would've been romantic." I pointed out looking at the stars. "It is." He stares up with me. "Have you not been paying attention as to where we are? Graveyards, Headstones..." I pointed at the things surrounding us. Laughing he gently tugs me away from the creepy headstones and walks me deeper into the dense and full graveyards.
After a moment of silence I realized I had no idea where my sister was or where she went.
"Stefan, she's not here." I looked around, worriedly. "Maybe shes back home?" He suggested. "That, could be true-" I was interrupted by my cell phone ringing. With Aunt's Jenna's name flashing across the screen. "Hold that thought," I said picking up the call. "Hey, Aunt Jenna, I'm so glad you called. Is-"
"Please tell me you have Elena..." She cuts me off her voice filled with worry. "I was just about to ask you that," I responded walking a few feat away from Stefan. "Eva, its very late. She's not home yet. I thought you brought her over to Mystic Grills or something to have dinner." Jenna said.
"I haven't found her, I'm searching everywhere. I'll call you when I find her Okay?" I tried to calm her panic level. "I think I should Call Sheriff Forbes. That would work right?" She says more to herself. "Jenna, stop. Don't call the cops. Elena would be even more in trouble. Looks if i don't call you in an hour. You call the cops alright?" I suggested. Their was a brief pause before Jenna's sighs over the other end.
"Alright, One hour." She says sternly. "I'll find her," I reassured Jenna, hanging up. Turning to Stefan whose eyes were filled with curiosity, I grab my hair with both my hands and pulled.
"I... cannot find her in an hour! What am I going to do?! I don't even know where she is!" I yelled, pacing across the ground filled with leaves. "Eva, stop. Calm down." He grabs my hands but i pulled away. "Calm? Calm down? I am calm! This is me, Calm!" I yelled moving my hands around wildly.
"Eva we'll find her. She's just a bit careful this time." Stefan comforted me, stopping my pacing. "Wait a minute..." I trailed off, looking at Stefan. "What?"
"Don't you have super sensitive hearing?" I asked frowning at him. "I do but-" He cut himself off, eyes going wide at the realization. "You are a genius." He smiles. "Thank you for the compliment but please. Can you find my sister?" I asked, worriedly. "Hang on," He mutters stretching his neck.
There was a moment of silence that was broken when Stefan opened his eyes and closed them back, almost as if grimacing in pain. I was about to ask until he jerked forward as if he was shocked. "What's wrong?!" I demanded grabbing onto his shirt. "Blood... I smell blood. Lots of it..." He mumbled getting away from me and leaning on a tree. "Stefan look at me-" I pulled his face to meet mine but what I saw gave me the shock of a lifetime. His usual brown eyes were gradually growing red with veins popping around his eyes.
