Evangeline P.O.V.

"If you think it was so easy to just give yourself up, you are so wrong!" Caroline was up in my face and was practically screeching as she paced the room, her blond locks in tangles. Her and Tyler just came back from being Kidnapped and Caroline was still the same mother hen I know.

"Caroline I never planned on giving myself up!" I defended, staring onto every one of my friends that were gathered in the room.

"The whole reason why I wanted this a secret was because it was too dangerous!" I yelled, placing my hands on my hips. "Yeah, since when did anything we do isn't dangerous?" Bonnie scoffed sarcastically giving me the look.

"You're not even suppose to show yourself Bonnie! You could've been caught by Klaus!" I spoke, my hands flailing up and down. "I cast a cloaking spell and If it stops my best friend from doing something stupid, then yeah!" She snaps coldly.

"Okay, fine! I get it, you're mad!" I shouted, fed up with how everyone was angry at me. Couldn't they see, I was trying to protect them?! "You have every right to be..." I said, trailing off. "Klaus is in town guys, its official. And he will not stop until he either has me or Elena for the sacrifice. I have no intention whatsoever to give me or Elena to him because I sure as hell don't want my blood spilled on some silly rock!" My outburst gave everyone a shock.

What should they expect really? This whole plan was going perfectly until now. I had to resist the urge to hunch over and scream in frustration at how close we were to going forward with the plan with the least amount of people getting hurt.

Sometimes the universe just wants to purse her lips at me and raise an eyebrow saying; "You think you doing this alone? Hell no girl, you need help."

Come on! Now that they know, I can't stop them from helping me!

"Evangeline I can't believe you went behind our backs. Went behind our trust. All so you can go through with this suicide mission!" Bonnie had snapped. She was angry and felt betrayed. Caroline sat down next to her, giving me that same look.

I shake my head and looked around hoping for someone to help me out here. Alaric, Tyler and Stefan looked away, pretending as if they didn't heard us. Damon smirks at me, crossing his arms over his chest as he nodded in approval.

Piece of shit! I knew he wanted me to snap to my senses and realised this plan might not work at all. Deciding that no one was going to help, I turn to face my two best friends. The friends I was close with ever since I was young.

Friends I trusted with my life.

Friends I trusted enough to tell secrets.

This was all me, I had to convince them to forgive me.

"Caroline, Bonnie..." I began, sighing gravely. "Ever since you got into this mess, your lives have been nothing but trouble. With each passing day I grow more and more concern at the fact that one day I might wake up to discover the two people I care, are dead because something killed them."

Bonnie and Caroline held hands, their gazes softening at me. "And something did kill you Caroline!" I added, pointing at her with frustration. "I couldn't protect you and now you're a vampire..."

Caroline stands up and stops in front of me, her blue green eyes are shining with sadness. "I'm still here, aren't I? Evangeline we know that you want to protect us. We know that you would die for us. But we love you two much to let you go." She weakly smiles, grasping both my shoulders.

I glance at the others and they seem to hold far away looks in their eyes as if they were thinking of the past. And then I realised, they were thinking about me. About how I have sacrificed so much. About how I have tried and kept my promises all so they could be happy.
