Evangeline P.O.V.

"Why, do I even bother?" I said out loud, not caring that my voice practically rang around the entire house. "Evangeline, let me explain, please." Alaric begged, standing in front of me with both his hands in a praying position.

"Save it Ric, I am not in the mood for one of your talks," I ignored his efforts and walked past him to climb up the stairs to my room. But I was stopped, by a pair of forest green eyes. "Evangeline, you're going to listen. We're going to make you listen." Stefan places his arm across the stairs, blocking me off.

I glared at him madly before spinning on my heel and turned the other way around. "Ah, ah. You're not escaping this," A finger was wagged in front of my eyes. Damon's blue eyes dart to mine and that annoying smirk of his returned.

My eyes widen as I looked at Alaric, Stefan and Damon who had surrounded me. "Great, your ganging up on me now?" I scoffed, crossing my arms and shifting my footing. "If that's what you think," Damon walks back to living room slowly, his eyes scanning the shelves where all my photo albums lay.

"No. We're not ganging up on you," Stefan glares at his brother, a frown on his face. "We're here to talk."

"About what?" I snapped, now my anger spiking. "You lied," I pointed at Stefan. "He lied," I pointed at Damon. "He agreed to it," I forced my eyes over to Alaric who had looked down. "Already explained," I shrugged my shoulders sarcastically and brush past them to grab my bag.

I thought I could have a day to myself after killing two vampires last night but no, I can't even have that. "You're staying Evangeline, we need to talk." It was Damon who had spoke, his words dangerous and daring.

I flipped my wavy hair over my shoulder and pulled the strap of my bag higher. "You don't get to make that choice for me Damon," I shot back, not liking how he liked to control what I do. "Just sit, for 5 minutes please," Stefan sighed gesturing to the couch with a look of plead in his eyes.

He could see where this was going and he knew it wasn't long before I was going to have a one on one with Damon. Speaking of which, we stood tall, glaring daggers at each other in apparent anger.

"You got 2 minutes, after that, I'm gone."I broke contact from Damon and planted my self on the couch, looking at the three of them expectantly. They exchanged looks wondering if I was kidding or not. I rolled my eyes and checked my watch.

"You have... a minute and thirty seconds, start talking." That seemed to snap them out of their trance as Stefan was the first to talk. "Evangeline whatever happened last week was a mistake but we only did it to protect you. You can't blame us for that. Everybody else is sorry, but pushing us away is not going to help." Stefan took the lead and looked at me as if expecting some sort of a comeback.

But I was still counting and waiting for him to finish. "Oh for gods sake cut to the chase Stefan," Damon snaps annoyed at Stefan for stalling what he really wanted to say. My guess was that Damon knew I wasn't talking as Stefan had been stalling.

"We want to know if you've been doing a little suicide mission on your own," Damon jumps forward and lazily looks at me, hands in his pockets. I feign confusion, not wanting them to see I knew what they were talking about.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I leaned back on the couch. He runs a hand over his hair frustratingly and looks around trying to find something before spotting it. He lunges across Alaric who had leaned on the wall concern on his face.

"This Evangeline. This right here." He threw the newspaper on the table in front of me with such force it sent a gust a wind across me. I narrowed my eyes at him and reached forward to the newspaper and saw the front page of the Mystic Falls newspaper.
