Evangeline P.O.V
"Thank God, you're alright!" Bonnie hugged me from across the table, relief in her voice as she pulled away. Caroline waits for her turn before hugging me as well. "How are you feeling?" Caroline, pointed at me, worry in her voice. "We came to visit you this last night but you were still unconscious." Bonnie voiced out.
Sitting down on the booth, I shrugged lightly and cupped my chin with my hands on the table. "I'm fine... I guess... It's just all very confusing..." I mumbled, waving my hands on my face. "Well you got lucky, who knows, what if that animal were to attack you." Caroline said drinking her drink.
"I know, Car, I got lucky. Don't need to tell me that again." I sighed rubbing my head. "Do you remember anything that happened that night?" Bonnie leans forward and frowns at me. I stare blankly at the both of them, debating and turning my true story into a fake one. "Well..." I began, taking a deep breath.
"I was trying to find Elena, and then I think I found her but after seeing her dead friends... I grabbed her hand and ran. Because the next thing I remember, I was falling and then waking up on my bed with Jenna towering over me." I finished, warming my hands with the sweater I had on.
"God!" Caroline scoffed loudly. I raised an eyebrow at her. "Does your sister ever understand the meaning of responsibilities?!" She growls loudly, swinging her hands around. "I guess not." Bonnie answers for me, staring at me in pity.
"Its alright, they've been through tough times. I guess they still need time..." I defended them, feeling the sense of tiredness over powering me. "You're a very strong woman to have been through so much and still manage to come back." Bonnie raised her glass and drank it in mock salute.
"Oh don't be dramatic," I scoffed, smiling and rolling my eyes. "Well, I'm glad you're okay." Caroline reached for my hand and tightly squeezed it before letting go. "This calls for a girls night, anybody up for it?" Caroline brightly suggested.
"Okay, Miss Enthusiastic, what girls night?" I laughed. She stands up, glass in the air and smiles. "There's a party tonight at the Lockwoods estate. We should all go! Tyler says there's going to be beer..." Caroline, nudged Bonnie with a sly smirk on her face.
"Getting drunk on cheap beer Caroline? Really?" Bonnie says with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, come on! It'll be fun. Plus, we get to forget all our problems and just drink our sorrows away..." She fake sad slurs as she leans over us. "I guess it'll be fun..." Bonnie grimaces, trying hard not to give away that she really wants to go too.
"See? Bonnie's in. Come on Evangeline! It'll be so much fun! Just you, me and Bonnie!" Caroline bounces on her heels. I shrugged rather hopelessly, not sure whether I was in the mood for a party. "Don't be a party pooper." Caroline rolled her eyes. "Yeah, Eva. Loosen up!" Bonnie stands as well glass in the air.
"Great, now I have to stand up because you're all standing up!" I groaned, playing with my drink. "Come on Eva! Just one night with us, no boys, no drama. Just us, like before." Caroline pleads.
Sighing, I thought of my decision. Did I really have time for this? Whoever healed me might still be out there. But staring at my two best friends who really wanted to have fun after quite some time, I realize, I too want to be reckless. It's been so long since I did anything that questions my responsibilities after I took care of Elena and Jeremy. Between good and bad...
I smile at my friends and stand up glass in the air. "Let's go have some fun." I smirk clinking our glasses together.
I choose the bad...
