Evangeline P.O.V.

"Damon, Damon No! I don't want to do this!" I exclaimed, as I tried to claw Damon's hand that was tightly gripped on my wrist. "Now, Now.. You don't want to be called a coward do you Eva?" He states pushing me up front the door of the boarding house with such force I stumbled forward.

"Damon please..." I faced him, my tone pleading with desperation. "Don't make me do this!" I swallowed, watching his reaction. He looks at my face, his eyes going unfocused as he contemplated his decision. "You wanted to get your stuff, remember?" He spoke almost unsure as he gestures to the door eyes still on me.

"Damon..." I trails giving him my best pleading look. As he turned away, I could see his face held so many emotions. Emotions I don't quite understand but it was easy to see he was not quite sure what to do. And for a moment, I saw a man who was not a monster under that facade. But a man that was just as ordinary as anyone else.

He suddenly snaps his head back to me, blue eyes blazing. He opens his mouth but closes it just as fast. "No, you're not escaping this." He pushes past me, pushing the door open. Before I could run, Damon's hand went around my back until my arm and he basically carted me in the house with one hand.

"Damon!" I hissed, struggling as he walked in the very place I did not want to be in. Smirking, he releases me slowly until I was on my feet. "You ass!" I shouted, hitting his shoulder repeatedly with as much force as I could. He simply smiled.

"Evangeline?" A timid voice broke out. I knew that voice. That was the voice I spent all my life trying to protect. I turned around to face my sister a look between surprise and fear crossed her face as she looked at the person standing beside me.

"Let me guess? The sister that betrayed you?" Damon spoke lazily walking forward towards her. I immediately grasp his hand, taking him by surprise. He looks back at my hand that held his. I slowly shook my head, still staring at Elena. "Damon," Stefan's voice interrupted my staring match between Elena.

"Hello brother," Damon gently loosen my grip as he walk back to where I stood. "Eva?" Stefan's eyes gaze over me. I only turned away. "I expected a little hospitality Stef, didn't I teach you any manners?" Damon smirks enjoying the look of horror on Stefan's face.

"Eva, get away from him!" Stefan raises his voice, holding out a protective hand over Elena. The very sight leaves me nearly in tears. "No can do Stefan, you see," Damon pointed at me and Stefan. "You nearly got Evangeline killed yesterday. I don't think your girlfriend would want to get close to you right now," Damon smiles darkly.

I stiffen over the word 'Girlfriend'. "Ex, don't say it like you forgot about it," I hissed at Damon, glaring madly at that annoying smirk of his. "Sorry, what I meant to say was Ex-girlfriend," He sarcastically replied.

Stefan glared murderously at Damon before lunging forward. "If you hurt her I swear to god! I will rip you-" But Damon was faster within seconds he had appeared behind me, his hand wrapped tightly around my neck and the other over my forehead.

"Take one more step brother, I dare you." He growls, threatening his brother. Stefan stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes going between Damon and me. I gasped over the suddenness feeling trapped.

"Wouldn't want to kill the person who saved your life on numerous occasions, huh Stef?" Damon whispers loudly, his mouth near my ear as he traces his finger over my cheek. Surprisingly his hands were warm.
