"Come on Eva, we need to go!" Elena calls out, making me groan. "No! I'm not going!" I grumbled, wrapping my hands around myself. "Oh, you're going."' Jenna pokes her head around the corner and smirks at me.

"Why?" I whined like a little kid. "Because your mom wanted you to join! Besides, you already have a dress." Jenna laughs, going to sit beside me which was at the couch. I sighed and rubbed my face feeling down.

"But-"

"No buts, it'll be a shame if you dont get to wear that dress Eva. Besides, if you don't go through with it now then... when will you ever?" She grabs my hand and tightly squeezed it. The action bring me comfort. Why did I even want to go?

I mean the very reason why I decided not to go is because of Damon and what happened last night.

"You're right," I nodded, letting her hand go and standing up. I had to go, I needed to prove myself that there was a life worth living for. That I was still a normal teenager. "Great, Elena!? You ready?!" Aunt Jenna shouts, her voice travelling across the room.

"In a minute!" Elena shouts back from upstairs. Aunt Jenna smiles widely and turns back to look at me. "Go get your dress, what are you waiting for?" She shoves me. I shake my head laughingly and quickly ran upstairs to get my dress.

"Care, you look beautiful." I smiled, entering the dressing area where all Miss Mystic Falls contestant had to go before doing the dance. Caroline turns, showing of her beautiful almost dark and green dress that hugged her in all the right places.

"Thanks I-"

She stops, her smile slowly disappears and an almost scary glare takes her place as she looks me up and down. Frowning, I quickly gave myself a once over. I was wearing dark blue jeans with a black tank top. The dress was over my hand.

I looked normal. I hadn't even got dressed yet. "Why aren't you dressed?" She demanded, hands on her hips. "I just came!" I defended not wanting to be the centre of her anger. "Go, go! There's only half an hour left!" She practically spun me around to the curtains where I could change and shut the binds hurriedly.

I laughed loudly and did as she told, changing out of my clothes and putting on the dress. Before getting out, I pulled one side of the dress up and place a wooden stake, strapped to my thigh. Better safe then sorry. Once done, I pulled my dress over it and adjusted my leg making sure I was comfortable.

When I decided I was prep and ready, I got out. I looked down as I did, playing with the flowing material behind my dress that was suppose to be a train.

There was an intake of breath. It made me look up hurriedly. Caroline, Elena and three other Miss Mystic Falls girls were all staring at me eyes filled with surprise. I blushed, quickly walking past them to do my make up.
