Evangeline P.O.V.
"Okay, you shouldn't worry to much. The plans in motion and everything will go just fine." Damon may be good at everything, but he wasn't good at comforting. In this case, fake being comforting.
"You know, lying will not solve anything," I scoffed, one hand holding the phone over my ear and the other rustling through my closet. "You're right," Damon agrees. "Everything might possibly blow up in our faces but its fine!" This time he made no attempts at hiding how he actually feels.
"Damon!" I scolded, stopping my movements as I raised my voice at him over the phone. "Hey, you were the one that called me. I was only trying to do what you wanted me to do." He defended, a sarcastic tone in his voice. I called him? Okay he may be right about that. "Remind me why I called you again?"
"You didn't. I did." Oh come on Damon!
"Just wanted to say that if Klaus shows up tonight you wont be stupid and play hero Evangeline again. That's Stefan's job." He jokes, even though he had a double meaning behind those words. I rolled my eyes, and picked out a red checker blouse to match with my ripped denim jeans. It looked... 70 ish enough. "I won't do anything stupid Damon," I sighed, hanging the outfit over my closet. "I'm not going to give myself up if that's what you're worried about." I added, waiting for his response. "Why wouldn't you do it though?" He asked.
I stopped and frowned. "You have a chance to save everybody here by sacrificing yourself. What's to stop you from jumping at that chance again?" His tone was accusatory. He wasn't demanding me to give myself up. In fact he's just waiting for me to do something dumb again so he can stop me. I couldn't blame him. He was right.
After all there were so many times where I wanted to give myself up but he was always there to stop me. So what was stopping me now? "Someone told me a long time ago to stand up and fight. If people push you down you get up because god knows that's the only way you'll survive." His words echo in my head as I repeated them, almost painfully reminding me of how I almost drowned and Damon was there to save me.
"So you only decided to take up my advice now?" He still sounded sarcastic. "Well then Damon. Better late then never I guess." I shrugged, even though he wont be able to see me. "Any idea where Kitty bitch went?" I asked, looking out my window.
When he answered he sounded amused. "Nope, she must've booked it when she found out Klaus was back. She's no where to be found." He said. I nodded in approval. If shes gone that means there's one less problem to deal with.
"Here's to hoping," I stretched my hands and cracked my head. "We're not sure yet so don't put your guards down. She might be lurking again." He growled. Although this time the anger wasn't at me. He was mad at Katherine. "Have I ever put my guards down Salvatore?" I teased, trying to make him not mad. Apparently it worked, I could almost see him roll his eyes.
"Okay, whatever, little brother and I are going to go around town. Hopefully we can see who this Klaus is." He explained. In the background I can here him starting up the car and a person-probably Stefan- get in after him after a door slam shut.
"Alright, see you tonight Damon," I answered back, not waiting for a reply as I shut my phone off. I threw my phone on the bed and it bounced off harmlessly. It took a second before I decided to throw myself on the bed.
I snuggled against my pillow and sighed heavily. I had no idea what was going to happen tonight. And i had a feeling I wont like it. I mean who would? I was going to meet one of the people that wanted to kill me.
Sure, no pressure right?

I headed upstairs to Alaric's house, a dark haze falling over me. I couldn't explain what I felt which is why I was here to visit Alaric. I needed to let out all the frustration and pain I had kept in.
