Evangeline P.O.V.

"How does a person, 'accidentally walked in a knife?' " Jenna groaned, as Alaric lightly places her on the couch. "No talking, just resting." Alaric smiles giving Jenna a kiss on her forehead before quickly leaving the room to get a couple stuff.

"Hey, did that too many times at the grill," Matt laughed, grabbing a water bottle and giving it to Jenna.

"That was different! God, I was always so clumsy," Jenna rolls her eyes and laughs, shaking of the pain in her stomach as I saw her wince. I frowned, feeling bad as this was my fault. I crossed the room in a matter of seconds and wrapped my arms around my aunt, feeling scared.

"Whoa, what's the matter Evangeline?" She laughs, hugging me back tightly. "Nothing," I murmured, my voice muffle against her shoulder. Matt and Alaric exchanged looks between each other as they stared at me in concern.

"I thought I lost you," I confessed pulling away. Jenna's eyes soften as she regarded me with a sweet smile. "I'm not going anywhere kiddo. If I made you worried it was my fault, I walked in a knife!" She jokes, stroking my hair gently. I nodded and smile not wanting to give anything away.

Katherine had compelled Jenna to stab herself, resulting in her being drag to the hospital. And it was all because of me. Well, me and Elena as the both of us were doppelgangers, important to her cause.

"Jenna, I'm just glad you're safe," I smiled, breathing out a sigh of relief. After what happened yesterday, I had fallen asleep and found myself on Damon's bed. I didn't meet anyone in the house and assumed they all left to do their own things.

After making a quick call to Alaric using a freaking pay phone-as my phone is destroyed thanks to Vicky- he came to pick me up. "Come on Evangeline, your aunt needs some rest," Matt piped, looking at me jokingly.

I nodded and reluctantly left her side to join Matt as we headed out. "Don't come back too late!" Jenna shouted from behind. Alaric chuckles at her and shoots me a concern look. I waved it off and put on a smile.

Once we were in the car, Matt started the truck and the both of us headed to the Grill. "Did you find Vicky?" Matt asks after a moment of silence. I froze, not knowing what to say. How could I tell him that Vicky is dead?

"No, I got kidnapped Matt, I couldn't do anything," Coward. My subconscious snarled. Matt's expression falls and is replaced with a sad look. "Did she saw anything? After she knocked me out?" He says hopefully.

My throat closed up and I found myself unable to breathe. I killed her Matt, I'm so sorry...

"She tried to attack me. She told me Katherine turned her and wanted to show it as a warning before taking off," I explained, feeling the lie I told, burn. Matt slams his fists on the steering wheel, making the truck swerve.

"All of this, is because of Katherine!" He growls, his eyes darkening in anger. I looked at him, wide eyed and a little afraid. Say it! Come on, tell the truth!

"We'll find her Matt," I find myself saying. No! That's a lie! Just tell him! "If Katherine turned Vicky then there's a chance Vicky went back to Katherine or something, we should start by finding Katherine," I suggested. Why was I Lying?!

"You're right." He sighed, pulling in the parking lot. I kept quiet as did he, my thoughts churning. I should tell him. I'm not like this. I dont lie!

"Matt-"

"We're here, Damon says he has an idea on where Katherine might be," Matt commented, pulling out his phone and he scrolled through the messages. "Okay..." I replied hesitantly, moving to unbuckle my seat belt.
