Evangeline P.O.V.

"I doubt that,"

His words bring me to a stop. I clenched my fists tightly, feeling his words seeped into me like poison. "What do you mean?" I questioned, my back to him as I fought the temptation of turning around and possible try to kill him in front of the entire bar. Not that it was possible.

He chuckles. Even with my back turned I could tell he was scribbling something on a paper. Where the hell did he get a pen and paper?

"Nothing you shouldn't worry about," I could feel him stand as he walked closer towards me, coming to a stop where I could feel his breath against my ear. "You're lying." I growled. "You know exactly what you mean."

"Maybe I do. But that is for me to know, and for you to... think about it," He walks in front of me, blocking the view of the Mystic Falls grill entrance. My eyes found his and all I saw was a monster willing to do anything to get what he wanted. "Make the right choice Evangeline," He darkly smiles.

Without warning he grabs hold of my hand and places a tiny piece of paper on the palm of my hand. He winks before walking away and out the bar as if this whole thing never happened. I watch his retreating back before looking down at the paper he had left behind me.

It was a number.

How dare he! Did he think I would just call, and give myself up?

He's giving you a choice.

It was either I gave myself up and no one else dies.

or

I don't and everybody else dies.

Burning with hatred I crushed it and stuffed it at the far corner of my pocket where I hope to never think about it ever again. He was mocking me, letting me know just how much control I have over who dies. I hated him. I hated this. I never got to live... Never got to see the world. My life was cut short as soon as I fell for a vampire. The very thought leaves me in tears.

If only...

"Yeah, you win. I get it." I hissed, clenching my phone tightly as I struggled to maintain my cool over the bastard at the other end of the phone. Even through a phone he still managed to make me hate him. "Did you honestly think you had a chance love?" He laughs on the other end.

I clenched my fist-the one not holding the phone-and took a deep breath. "How are you going to get me alone? My friends go everywhere with me now. The only reason how I can even talk to you is because their too busy having their revenge on Katherine." I asked, looking behind me to see Damon dropping Katherine into the vervain filled fountain after bleeding her out.

I cringed at her screams. My friends have become monsters just to ensure I was safe. "That just gave me an idea," I could practically feel the smirk on his face. "Katerina although defective. Provides a good distraction. But you are going to have to sacrifice one of your friend's safety."

I already didn't like the sound of this plan. After explaining what he was going to do, which was basically getting one of his Lackeys to free Katherine and take Caroline hostage to get the others distracted in saving her, my job was to get back home without the others.

But I needed to do in a way where they wont suspect anything. Doing this plan also will set Katherine free. I could care less for that, maybe in the future while shes running with her tail between her legs she will look back and think the number one person she hated, had allowed her to go free. Caroline will be fine, I just hope Klaus keeps his promise. "I believe you know what to do?"
