A Moment Too Late

The river flows on,

My time has gone,

The love I hoped to feel,

Is something that was never real,

My hopes have left me alone,

With me there is nothing to hold,

Yet I cling to belief that is impossible,

To live the life that I will,

Not to worry my dear,

I will no more be your worst fear,

Too little time is left for us,

And I shall leave with no fuss,

Not a tear shall I shed,

From now on you are as good as dead,

It's too bad you never saw what was right in front of you,

For me this is a story that is nothing new,

You done me well throughout,

I accept this without a doubt,

The one thing you didn't however do,

Is see something so clear, the real truth,

But you could have seen!

Something that I as alive as any other being,

You saw me not for me,

But for someone else, and that was your folly!

Forgiving as I am, this one time I won't,

You brought it on yourself, don't moan,

Wonderful as you are, you didn't accept me,

And so perhaps now at least, you shall see.............

(Something that I managed to dig up from an old notebook of my poetry. It was written on 14-9-08.......Hope you enjoyed it!!)
