A quiet day with nothing but the sound of the breeze,
The water of the river lapping with rhythmic ease,
A boat with tourists, crosses my way,
Squeals of delight momentarily interrupt the peace of the day,
The stillness of the surroundings moves me,
Watching the happenings, I feel happy,
The wind picks up and everything darkens,
My reverie ends and I am startled,
The low rumble of thunder awoke me,
And I knew that was the end of my sightseeing,
Moving into cover I sat in a café,
Drinking coffee, I watched the rain.
