A quiet day with nothing but the sound of the breeze,

The water of the river lapping with rhythmic ease,

A boat with tourists, crosses my way,

Squeals of delight momentarily interrupt the peace of the day,

The stillness of the surroundings moves me,

Watching the happenings, I feel happy,

The wind picks up and everything darkens,

My reverie ends and I am startled,

The low rumble of thunder awoke me,

And I knew that was the end of my sightseeing,

Moving into cover I sat in a café,

Drinking coffee, I watched the rain.
