You hold my hand, and ask me if I'm okay...
It's when I have nothing much to say
But that look my face
Tells you that my world is this big, big place.
You smile, oh smile down at me
And I wonder-" can he see the real me?"
You hold me in your arms oh so close...
Like the whorls of a red, red rose
You make me show the girl I want to be
And slowly make me see that it could be a reality
I don't even have to ask you
Just seeing my face, you know your cue.
You're as real as sun and the moon
And you're here with me night and noon
When I'm with you, I have no need to cry
You are there for my eyes to dry
The key to my heart and soul is now in your hand
That to me is very grand.
Around you I can be free as bird
You help me see a better world
Words however many cannot express
No matter how much I try I cannot impress
Upon you , how grateful I have been
Now these eyes of mine with happiness they gleam.
I feel like a cooped up lion, now freed
I feel like a new sapling from a tiny seed
Ever ready to take on this life
However many a strife
I feel like I am about embark on a journey
Interesting position to be in...finally!
With my spirit renewed
I gladly and gratefully thank you
That love in your eyes as blue as the deep blue sea
Now I know we are meant to be
Truly or not truly, I can still see
That you alone know the real me!
