Black or White

You can either be right or you can be wrong at any given time,

The in - betweens you create in your head cross all lines,

In attempting to justify your deeds and thoughts and words,

So many lines and rules and borders you've blurred,

What convenience it is, to be able to do such a thing,

Even where I have resorted to it, I have known I am committing sin.

Trying to understand another human being's behaviour sometimes is beyond me,

Watching some humans work, I fear I am at a risk of losing my humanity,

You can only be right or wrong not both together,

And your choices or deeds or words are your legacy forever,

Damning and cruel as that may seem, that is how life has been since times of old,

If only these truths, to humans like your kind, had been told.

I don't want to turn back time, and I don't want to go back,

Because I can't remember any other time that was as black,

Things are so different today, I am now a far better sight,

Seeing halos and angels inside, I feel as pure as white,

That's how things are for me and no matter what you say,

It is either black or white; my understanding of life can never be inshades of grey.
