There's a world for the misplaced,

Undoubtedly a scary devilled space,

A misplaced is but a person of ordinary mind,

Who's been driven to great lengths of insanity by the unpredictable horrors of their lives,

The world becomes cryptic just for their living,

There is an underlying darkness in their thinking,

Oh! The power of their fears,

Everything adds up to a flame whose heat permanently sears,

The maddening ways of the turns of their lives,

It's a real wonder how they've survived,

The question that floats around in a misplaced's head,

Creates only a feeling of great dread,

Life can spin a person in many directions,

It can strip a person of all affections,

When an ordinary unsuspecting human is afflicted this way,

The birth of a misplaced is underway,

Everything from his own thoughts to external factors become the issue,

After you've lost your mind, there is little left to lose; only chaos will ensue,

It all becomes too much and fitting in is no longer possible,

Feeling good, by then becomes barely probable,

The trigger is this undefined force that is hell bent on keeping a good soul down,

Once pushed, not everyone has the courage to stand up off the ground,

It's not about weakness or strength of a person at all,

But about how many a person is fundamentally designed by the universe to take such falls,

Even mighty people can be left in this lurch, and few get away,

This insurmountable force loves to toy around in a game that's theirs, that we are forced to play,

It's a tragedy really when a soul turns to this sort of mush,

But the real tragedy is how it all happens on the hush,

No one even knows when this metamorphosis is going on,

Those around him won't ever know that something is going so terribly wrong,

And all because he was indoctrinated with stoicism and grace,

No one will ever know how he's fighting this sad losing race,

The race against losing his heart and soul to the indomitable mind,

Where his heart slowly grows more and more blind,

Once the transformation is complete all that is left of him, is a face,

He is now one of society's many misplaced.
