Hold Your Hand

Those tears you shed now,
Affect her someway somehow,
They aren't to be considered a weakness,
A symbol of the sorrow you possess,
Those crystal clear drops are just the result of a feeling prolonged,
Just another sign that shows us you are strong.

There is nothing I can say,
For that pain to go away,
Nothing of any use,
But I know how you feel; and you are confused,
That sinking feeling in your stomach that tells you its all coming to an end,
What you need from me right now more than anything is a friend.

Doubtless from my side you shall have one,
I'll help you forget all your pain as we play around in the sun,
So whilst shedding you tears be not ashamed,
To shed them in front of me you need not be afraid,
There is so much I can say to show you I understand,
But for now I'll just hold your hand.
