Tuesday's Time

The Sun shines brightly; hurting my eyes,
My body clenches up the second i realize,
It is time to go out and face the day,
Where life's forces come out to play,
They hurl situations at you without mercy,
Good and Bad, the line between them grows exceptionally blurry,
Forcing myself to rise I prepare to fight,
I harden myself; to fight my fears and keep hope in sight,
Leaving the comfort of my room; my leave it reluctant,
I battle the urge to stay in safety, but then my heart hardens,
Searching for a familiar face, I hope for the best,
My mind is in turmoil; a state of unrest,
Worrying of the day to be,
Despising the fact that this knowledge is a taunting mystery,
Bearing the awkward glances that are cast in my direction,
As people take careful note of my many imperfections,
One by one, the duties of the day are performed,
The triumph fills my heart, as I have weathered the storm,
Jumping on my bed; relishing the comfort of my surroundings,
The calmness in my head is resounding,
The feeling that I am alone has gone,
Evaporated into thin air now that I am home,

So the day is over, night has begun,
The battle for survival has been won.
