Catherine standing by her window sill,
Looked down at her beloved still,
Gazing at him with her beautiful blue eyes,
Sadly, and softly she cries:
"My poems are yet to impress,
My talents are yet to mature,
My mind is yet to grow,
And my expressions just waiting to show,
My feelings are yet to flow,
And the world is yet to know,
People are yet to understand,
The future is yet to be planned,
My life is yet to become good,
I'm yet to get what I should,
My heart is yet to feel,This beautiful world that's so wonderfully real,
Fate has been sealed,
Now as to thy humble proposal,
You shall get but a sad refusal,
I wish to experience life and be free,
This I hope that you will see,
Kind as you have been to me,
I must leave you now and be free,
I won't forget your humble soul,
Through the journey to my eternal goal"
Then down from her window she throws,
The flower of love - beautiful red rose,
Quietly she turns away,
And leaves with nothing more to say,
Down below where he stands,
Carefully the rose caught in his hands,
Gazing at it with only a lover's sorrow,
Whilst pondering the loneliness of tomorrow,
Looking up as if hoping to receive more,
His neck becoming terribly sore,
Sadly, he looks down to see the break of day,
Silently he just walks away.
