Two Lives

Toni-
It's Friday. The day I leave away from this place. Joelle has been coming every day now since we talked and for some reason she has been talking to Ms. Pierce my next door neighbor about what? I have no clue, I didn't know they knew each other but I guess they do.

Joelle just got here and right now we are getting ready because Wayne said he wants to see us, why he waited till 10 at night is beyond me. "Why do you think Wayne wants to see us?" I ask Joey nervously. Could he have possibly found out?

"Girl you know Wayne he always does the most, anyway let's go Ms. Pierce has Skai so she good" she says applying some lip stick before we walk out.

I fill fear full up my belly as we exit my building.

Wayne's Place- Joelle's POV-
We entire Wayne's house that is empty except for Wayne and his two goons. I already know what is about to happen which is why I have been talking to Ms. Pierce so often. This has been coming for a long time and I am going to protect Toni and Skai, even if it cost me my life.

"So y'all bitches bold now huh? You finna leave wit all my damn money." Wayne finally speaks out. I feel Toni freeze up beside me. "I give you every cent of your money Wayne, it's time for us to go" I speak out as I step boldly toward him.

Wayne smirks before stepping into my face and delivering a hard slap across my face causing me to fall. I hear Toni gasp before she rushes to my side and crouches beside me. "So y'all hoes think y'all can just leave me, AFTER EVERYTHING I DID FOR YOU MUTHFUCKAS YALL GO LEAVE ME!!" He shouts before grabbing a gun. I quickly push Toni behind me and grab my own gun before shooting the closest goon beside me. Toni let's a terrified scream before I feel a bullet hit my torso causing me to cry out.

Wayne smirks as the last goon rushes towards me but I quickly shoot him and grab Toni's  hand and we sprint outside. "BITCHES!!" I hear Wayne say after us. We run throw alleys and stuff to get away from him before I drop down feeling light headed.

"Joey get up we have to go!" Toni says as she kneels beside me. I left my hand off of the bullet wound and she gasps at all the blood causing me to chuckle even in the state of pain I find myself in. She's always been scared of blood punk ass. "Omg Joey!"

She exclaims as she reach down to touch the wound but I slap her hands away. "T stop, I'm dying no matter what you do I will still die" I say causing her to shake her head furiously. "No! NO! You can't I need you, Skai needs you!" She yells at me trying to get to my wound.

"Toni listen!" I scream at her causing her eyes to finally connect with mines and my heart breaks at the pain in them. "I left all the money in Skai's bag, everything of hers is packed Ms. Pierce already has Skai ready she will be going with you two to LA, I need you to leave and take care of Skai, be the momma she needs okay?" I demand her as I feel my life slipping. I quickly grab her hand with my own bloody ones dropping the gun beside me.
