Toni- I walk into the house with Skai attached to my hips and Derek behind me with bags filling his hands and Fluffy running beside us, to be greeted with laughter. "Hey Toni" China says as she and Shayla comes over to help with the bags. "Hey girls, where is your Uncle Ken?" I ask as we continue walking towards the kitchen.
"In there laughing it up with miss boogie" Shayla says with an attitude making me frown. "Who?" I ask looking from her to China "he in there talking to his ex 'fiance' Jazmine" China explains rolling her eyes. My heart drops as I finally step into the kitchen to see Ken laughing hysterically with a beautiful woman who obviously must be Jazmine.
A loud throat clearing from Shayla draws me out of my thoughts and makes Ken and the woman to both look up and Ken's eyes widens momentarily before he relaxes. "Toni, your back?" He asks shooting out of his seat like it's hot liquid. "Nahh this Toni's ghost" I hear China mumble to Shayla causing her to laugh. "Yeah" I say to him as Derek and the girls places the bags on the counter. "I didn't know you would be back so early" he says causing me to inwardly roll my eyes at him. Obviously or you wouldn't be in here flirting it up with this lady who is eyeing me up and down like she has a problem, I say in my head but instead I just shoot him a small, forced smile and get a sleepy Skai out of her stroller.
"T I'm going to go get ready for the party later, okay?" Derek says coming up to me and cutting the awkward silence short. "Your coming?" Ken asks before I can respond to him. Derek smirks up at him before turning back to me and winking "of course I am, my baby has been so excited about it" he says before doing something that shocks everyone in the room.
I gasp as he pulls away after a few seconds and then he waves bye and leaves like nothing happened. "Da-Angg! Ms. Toni you got it like that?!" Shayla exclaims high fiving China and they both leave out laughing. "I'm going to go get ready also, we'll talk later Ken" the lady says standing up and coming up to Ken who is glaring over at me with anger sipping through him.
"Yeah I'll see you tonight" he says and she looks at me with an obviously fake smile "it was a pleasure meeting you also Toni" she says and I give a sharp nod before she exits. After standing in silence for a minute too long I decide to break it "well Skai has had a long day so I'm going to go lay her down" I tell him and hurriedly walk up the stairs with him following after me.
"So you going to act like that didn't just happen?" He asks as we approach my room door making me frown. "Like what didn't happen?" I ask entering my room and going straight to Skai's. "Like Derek didn't just stick his tongue way down your throat?" He says as I take off of Skai's clothes and put her on her onesie before laying her down in her crib.
"Toni" he says as I stand watching over her until she fully falls asleep. I groan softly and turn around to face him but I take a step back because I didn't realize he was that close. "Look Ken that kiss didn't mean anything, trust me besides we was only doing what you wanted" I tell him as I move past him to go into my bedroom with him stalking closely behind me.
"I didn't want him shoving his tongue all down your throat Toni, we talked about this" he says grabbing my arm as I'm about to walk into my closest. "No we didn't 'Mr. Edmonds', you said he is my boyfriend so he acted like a boyfriend should" I tell him snatching my arm away from him and continuing my walk into the big closest.
