I was walking on a road
So far away from home
Feeling rather lonely
I was looking for some hope

Stopping in a little town
I decided to spend the night
Little did I know
I was in for a great surprise

The next day when I woke up,
I met you on the street
It wasn't my intention
But I'm so glad we did meet

Adventure I've always wanted, you see
It's something that I've craved
The ordinary life I lived
Just kept getting in the way

You changed my entire world
Like a meteor from space
You came flying down towards me
With a grin upon your face

Saving me from a love
That I thought was real
You radiated with a fierce desire
That was quite surreal

Stretching out your hand
You tilted your head and said
"Come with me! " and that was all I needed
My decision already was made

In you I found that bond
My old life never found
In you I found that surety
Our trust was safe and sound

Now recently, I've been feeling quite
Differently towards you
I wonder if you feel the same
After all the adventures we've gone through

My love for you has become
More than what a friend should feel
I just can't help this feeling
That it is very real

We've spent a year apart now
I can't believe it's been that long
My mind's been replaying our escapades
That you would drag me along on

But right now in this moment
If I could say one thing
You have to promise me something:
Never leave me, again

Because you are my only home
Do you just not see?
That you're the fire that keeps me warm
When I am cold and lonely

When the time is right
I'll tell you about my feelings
I'll even tell you all the things
That make you so appealing

Now this poem has been long
So I'm afraid I'll have to go
But I just can't wait to tell you this:
Darling, I love you so.
