Sunset

101 5 2

When the west sky is filled with golden glow,
And the clouds are brushed with pink and red

I think of all that I've done today
And worry over the things I've said

Is today another failure?
Another day I'll just forget?

Another page chronicled in my life
Turned, forgotten, bent?

I do not want it to be so
Because I want each day to be important

Not just distant memories, black and white
And blurred around the edges

But full of color, life, and meaning

Just like the western sunset.
