There is a certain sound I love
In the breaking of the day

It's when the rain is dancing

Cold, clear, and gray.

There is a certain feel I love
It makes me feel quite mellow

A warm hug and a kiss

Bright, happy, and yellow.

There is a certain sight I love
In nature, so serene

When the ancient oaks bow in the breeze

Wild, graceful, and green.

There is a certain smell I love
Clean linen, fresh and light

It reminds me of my childhood

Soft, new, and white.

There is a certain time I love
When I'm laying upon my back

Looking up at the glimmering heavens

Peaceful, calm, and black.

Colors, colors, colors
Without you I'd feel dread

And I'd never see the beauty of a rose

Lush, vibrant, and red.

Colors, colors, colors
You make the earth look new

Even though it's old and weary, like the sky

Sad, worn, and blue.

Colors, colors, colors
You unlock my imagination

And you let the world see your loveliness
From generation to generation.
